Summer flew by so fast! September is already here, and that means my vacation is almost over. It’s been an amazing season—full of family time, meeting new people, reconnecting with old friends, and collecting plenty of fun memories. But, of course, there was also time to just chill and do nothing.

When you’ve been playing The Sims 4 for a long time, it can get a bit repetitive. That’s why the Sims community keeps things exciting with challenges and creative stories. They’re a great way to push imagination to the limit.

That’s where my idea came in. I’ve been planning a new summer-themed challenge, and I’ve decided to call it The Seven Popsicles Challenge. I’ll be sharing it with you step by step in this series.

General Rules

Our Sim starts from zero—no money at all. They’ll have to survive through odd jobs while completing each of the seven stages of the challenge.

Each popsicle flavor represents a different goal in life:

  • Strawberry: Represents determination and passion. This is the starting point, where our Sim takes their very first steps.

  • Lemon: Stands for creativity and optimism. Here, the Sim needs to develop new skills to grow and improve.

  • Watermelon: Symbolizes sweetness. Just like us, Sims are social creatures—they need interaction and relationships.

  • Blueberry: The blue color is linked to happiness, calmness, and deep emotions—think of it as a summer romance.

  • Grape: Represents ambition, creativity, and luxury. It’s the step toward starting a personal project.
    Chocolate: Intense and comforting, like true love that lasts.

  • Rainbow: Brings together all the flavors into the final stage of the challenge.

To keep this post from being too long, I’ll share the details of each stage—goals, rules, and key tips—in separate entries.

I didn’t add any specific requirements when creating the Sim (appearance, style, hobbies, or skills). That way, everyone can play with their own twist, and I’ll share how my personal version evolves as the series goes on.

Creating My Character in The Sims 4

I’ll start by making a Sim version of myself. First, I’ll choose a base Sim that looks somewhat like me, just to make things easier. Then I’ll use detailed editing to tweak the eyes, nose, lips, cheekbones, and cheeks until I’m happy with it.

Next up—clothes! Since this Sim is supposed to be me, I’ll go with outfits I’d actually wear. I really liked this little green shirt I found, and even though in real life I don’t wear necklaces, chains, bracelets, rings, or piercings, I think the pendant looks cool on my Sim.

El verano ha pasado volando, ya estamos en el mes de septiembre y mis vacaciones están llegando a su final. Puedo decir que este verano ha sido una temporada increíble, en compañía de familiares, nuevas y viejas amistades; colmada de experiencias, momentos agradables y ratos divertidos. No obstante, a pesar de tanta actividad, hubo mucho tiempo de ocio. Nuestro sims deberá comenzar desde cero, sin un simoleón en el bolsillo, tratando de sobrevivir a través de trabajos informales, mientras que va superando cada una de las siete etapas que conforman el desafío. Cada paleta de helado representa un objetivo diferente en la vida de nuestro Sim:

  • Fresa: El reto comienza por Fresa, que representa la determinación y la pasión en el comienzo de esta nueva aventura. En esta etapa, nuestro Sim dará sus primeros pasos.

  • Limón: La paleta de limón, se asocia con la creatividad y el optimismo. En esta etapa, nuestro personaje deberá desarrollar habilidades que le permitirán crecer y superarse como persona.

Creando mi personaje en los Sims 4

Vamos a comenzar creando un personaje similar a mí en el juego de los Sims. Comenzaríamos buscando uno de base que tenga el mayor parecido posible, para simplificar un poco el trabajo. Luego en edición detallada, a jugar con los ojos, la nariz, los labios, pómulos y cachetes hasta quedar conformes con el resultado.
