Introduction

AquaShop is a Aquatic Shop Simulator where players can manage a shop's inventory to grow and sell different kinds of fish. Upgrade your shop, craft in game items or master the art of aquaculture while earning rewards integrated with the Hive Blockchain.

AquaShop aims to combine Aquaculture, shop sim gameplay and play-to-earn mechanics to create a pleasant experience while allowing users to earn passively. There are multiple options from growing fish to owning and operating your own blockchain based Aqua Shop!

Players will be able to sell items for in game benefits or trade to other players for different currencies. Shop owners will be able to build bigger and better shops by acquiring rare species, upgrading buildings, and influencing the growth of their fish.

AquaShop is not only looking to make an impact on Play to earn ecosystems, but also Help the aquatic ecosystems of the world. The creators recognize the alarming issues that the world's oceans and waterways face today. There is an ever growing need for change and we are committed to helping anyway we can as a community through our combined efforts .

AquaShop will be able to do this by using portions of market transactions / sales to help fund efforts that bring life and sustainability to our world's aquatic ecosystems.

Fundraisers and donations will also be made on behalf of AquaShop to community chosen charities that help better aquatic life. Together we hope to make a positive change in the world and its inhabitants while also allowing individuals to come together for a good cause.

Market And Target Audience


AquaShop will be a game that is created for everyone. We believe this will be a game that is able to be enjoyed by fish enthusiasts all the way to casual gamers and newcomers to the play-to-earn genre. The target gameplay would fall between a casual shop management sim with a later emphasis on item creation and marketplace activities. Whether you are playing to earn passive income or passing the time, you will be helping the world's aquatic life!

Our team will strive to develop a game that will be playable from a computer or mobile device regardless of your location in the world! We want everyone to be able to take part in the fun while pitching in to help out our fishy friends.

AquaShop Chests

In AquaShop, Fish and Fish Tank NFTs are necessary to play the game and interact with the ecosystem. These assets will be acquired through opening an AquaShop Chest or purchasing cards from our in game marketplace.

The first AquaShop chest that will be available is the Alpha Chest.

Each Chest will contain 5 NFT cards of the following rarities.

Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary.

Cards have a chance to be either a Fish or a Fish Tank.

  • Each NFT will have a 0.5% chance of being a Shiny Foil.

Shiny Foil Cards

All NFTs from AquaShop Chests have a small chance of being a Shiny Foil! These cards will have increased benefits through rewards, higher base shop value and other in game incentives. These cards will be extremely limited in quantity and necessary to maximize play-to-earn rewards.



Shop Value

Each card NFT will be assigned a Shop Value (SV). Shop value will be used in game to determine base card value in game, what upgrades are available in your shop, and available season reward tiers. The amount of SV a player has will determine how much they are able to create and gain in AquaShop.

Shop Value will be used early game as a form of incentive and merit system for in game airdrops and reward earnings.

The Fish

Something smells fishy...


The main NFT you will receive from our Shop chests are Fish. These will be used in combination with Tanks to grow the specified fish shown on the card. Each card will have an indication for its growth time, salinity, quantity, and SP value.

The amount of SP (Shop Points) per fish sold that a player will receive varies based on the Rarity, Star Quality, and Traits.

Shiny Fish Cards

Shiny Fish Cards will have an increased SP value in game along with other increased stats.

The Tanks

Don't drop these...


Along with the fish, Shop owners will also be needing Fish Tanks to house their equipment and grow their select breeds.

Fish Tanks share the same rarity scale as fish with there being Common, Rare, Epic and Legendary versions. These Fish Tanks have a chance to influence the growth and overall final quality of the fish grown. With higher rarity tanks and better upgrades you will be able to house more fish while having the ability to further increase their quality.

Shiny Fish Tank Card

As mentioned shiny versions of cards will have increased benefits in game as listed below:

  • 2x base Trait % chance
  • Minimum 2 star quality fish


Maintenance

Tanks will require maintenance in order to keep your fish happy and in perfect condition.

There are a variety of different tanks in AquaShop and each will require different forms of care. The majority of the tanks you will own will require basic cleaning and light maintenance to prevent possible issues with your fish or the tank.

Mini-Games

From time to time players will be promoted to interact with their tanks to stimulate and upkeep their fish. This will be done by performing a series of tasks in the form of Minigames! These will include feeding the fish, cleaning the tanks, changing the environment and possibly more!

While it may not be necessary to fully maintain your tanks, doing these actions will have a positive and lifelong effect on the fish you grow. As players progress in shop ownership they will have the possibility to improve and possibly automate these actions via upgrades and shop created items.

Gameplay

Brief overview of AquaShops early game structure


To start, you'll want to have acquired some AquaShop Chests. You should find yourself with a variety of new fishy NFTs after opening them! These will be necessary on your path as a aquatic Shop entrepreneur.

Growing the Fish

Fish cultivation will be broken up into seasons where certain fish are more in demand than others by the customers at the Local Fish Shop. Every season will last 14 days and a selection of 5 different fish will be available for growth and sale. As more cards get released more fish will be available for sale per season.

Fish cards can only be used once per season and will need to recover on cooldown before they can be used again. Legendary fish do not have a cooldown and can be used continuously throughout the season.

The selected fish will stay in the tank for its determined growth cycle. When the cycle ends and the fish is removed from the tank, the fish will be given a star quality. This star quality will range between 1-3 stars and be based on the total care of the fish. There is a small chance the fish will adapt a special trait as well.


Star Quality:

1 star - no change
2 star - 2x Shop Point value
3 star - 3x Shop Point value


Traits

Traits can range from a simple fin mutation to the the rare and sought after Albino effect. Players will be able to influence these chances by acquiring rarer tanks and improving their fishes ecosystem. They also have the option of feeding their fish Miracle Flakes from the booster shop which have been said to have a crazy effect!


Salinity

Each fish card will be categorized as Fresh or Salt. Once a fish of a specified salinity is placed in a tank, only fish of the same type can be grown in that tank. Specialized fish will be available that are not affected by this constraint.


Schooling fish

Select cards, marked by the numbered Fish symbol, will produce more than one fish when their growth time is up! Fish in this category will give a lower amount of Shop Points per fish grown, but the amount collectively will be the same. This will also give you more chances at possibly a 2 or 3 star fish!


Season Rewards

After the season ends, rewards will then be given out based on the amount of Shop Points (SP) your aqua shop has produced compared to other shops. Rewards will be given in $Clam, the reward token of the game. A players main objective in a season would be to produce the most SP compared others on the Seasonal Leaderboard.

Season Reward Chests

Each season players will have a chance at receiving a reward chest. These chests will be given out once a certain criteria of tasks have been met. This criteria may vary but will have a SV threshold (Shop Value).
The value of chests contents will scale based on the Players total Shop Value. Contents of the chests will vary from token rewards to NFT rewards and will be influenced by a players Shop Value reward tier.



Boosters

Enhancements for your fish!

AquaShop will maintain an in game shop for players to purchase different types of items and fish enhancements. One of the main item types that players can purchase will be Boosters.

Boosters will be a category of items that are used to alter and enhance the life and properties of your fish. These will come in multiple forms and will span from single use items to tank wide buffs.

Boosters will be purchasable at the shop via the in game reward token $Clam.

Growth Food

A bag of food that is sure to make your fish hearty!

  • Reduces growth time (20/30/40/50% random)
Miracle Flakes

Special flakes that are said to do wonders to a fish.

  • Increases chance of a Trait each time its used.
Mystery Fish Eggs

What type of fish this time? Nobody knows!

  • 1 random fish from the current season's selection will be placed in a chosen tank.
    The available rarities for chance are Common, Rare and Epic.

Shops

Player owned real-estate in the AquaShop universe!


In AquaShop players will have the option of owning their very own customizable shop within the game and on the blockchain!

Shop Deeds will be sold directly to players and will contain one shop of a varying rarity. These will be a limited asset that will only have one mint. Players will be able to upgrade their shops and trade them with others on the AquaShop marketplace.

Shop Crafting & Upgrades

The primary buildings that a player can acquire through a Shop Deed include a Greenhouse, Workshop, and Nursery. These buildings will increase the efficiency of your shop through growth of plants, creation of in game equipment and access to unique habitats. Shop owners will also be able to craft special items only available to Shop holders. The items will however be NFTs that can be bought and traded on the marketplace.

Resource Gathering

Each shop will have access to a special resource. These resources will be used to create the NFTs within each of the purchasable buildings. Collection of these resources will depend on a players Shop level and upgrades. Unwanted or extra resources will have the option to be sold on the AquaShop marketplace or traded to other crafty Shop keeps.

Owning a shop in this game will unlock gameplay abilities that otherwise would not be accessible. We feel this will allow players to create alternative methods of play based on their level of asset ownership. To fully experience what AquaShop has to offer a player will want to take a shot at owning their very own shop!

Tokenomics

Breakdown of the Play-to-Earn ecosystem


$AQUA

​$AQUA token will be the main multifunction token of AquaShop. This token will be used in our ecosystem as an in game utility token while also offering staking and LP rewards to its holders.

Players will leverage $AQUA to purchase Packs, Cards, Shop upgrades and other Marketplace items. The team will make later changes to add further incentives to holding $Aqua for in game bonuses and allow for the participation in the AquaShop governance voting system.

$Clam

The $Clam token will be used as the reward token for playing AquaShop. This token will have an infinite supply and be used primarily for purchasing in game items and upgrading your shop.

The AquaShop NFT marketplace and the in-game booster shop will be functional with the use of the $Clam token. Token used for in-game shop purchases and upgrades will be burned at equal values.

$Clam will be released seasonally and divided among players based on the total pool of all players SP (shop points). This reward pool size will be set by the team for early stage development. In the final stages of development there will be a governance vote on the final reward pool amounts that will be set until future releases.

Marketplace

Open market for buying and selling of AquaShop assets


The Market

AquaShop will maintain its own marketplace integrated with Hive Blockchain.

Players will be able to trade Cards, Shop Deeds and other in game assets on this marketplace using the games own tokens, as well as tokens like Swap.Hive and HBD.

As we grow and further the development of the game and ecosystem, we hope to eventually bridge onto other Blockchains to further the reach of AquaShop's potential playerbase.

Portions of Market transitions and 10% of all sales will be delegated to a Donation Fund to be later dispersed out to community chosen donation groups and reputable research funds. These donations will be made with the communities vote to allow for full player involvement.


Asset Delegation

AquaShop will allow the delegation of cards between players. Cards are able to be sent freely between players for 0 fees and will be returnable upon the sender's request. We feel this will allow for the incentive of guild owned assets and scholarship programs.

Shops will have a similar function to card delegation. Shop owners will be able to "rent" out or lend their unused buildings to other players for item creation.

Cards will have a cooldown upon being returned to the owner. During this period they will not be able to be used for a determined amount of time. If a player requests the return of an already in use card, the recipient will no longer have access to the card and the tank slot will be freed for use.

Sharing Cards and Buildings will be a key way new players and groups are able to enter into the new ecosystem that AquaShop is looking to create.
