RE: Can Video Games Be Useful for Real Life? (OPINION) [ENG/ESP]

in Hive Gaming3 years ago

Learning things from Video Games was always a sticking point while I was growing up and my parents thought that I could spend my time in other projects. The encyclopedia inside Sid Meyer's Civilization games was a huge highlight due to how in depth the lore went on units and even playing Age of Empires and learning about technology through the ages.

I think the most recent thing of having a Video Game educate me was playing Assetto Corsa and figuring out how to drive Stick. Because the game is so realistic it was extremely helpful when I did drive a manual vehicle, I understood the basics and put the simulated experience into reality.

I am glad that game creators take the time to implement knowledge that can be used in the real world even if it might seem out of place.
