High Voltage Traps.

After reporting to Jade, Spike tasked me with arming car traps surrounded by zombies. I used firecrackers to lure the infected away and activated the batteries. As night approached, I traveled to the railway yard, navigating utility poles from above to successfully prepare the high-voltage light traps.

Jade told Crane that Spike would mark more safe zones on my map after thanking me for the help. Spike asked me to get back to our main task and arm the next set of traps, mentioning that a few more cars were parked close by.

With that instruction, my objective was to arm additional car traps down on the streets. I was advised to stay off the roads as much as possible since zombies were packed tightly across the entire asphalt surface.

When I looked down, the cars I needed to reach were completely surrounded by a large group of the infected. I was unsure of how to clear the area at first, assuming my best option was to lure them away to a different spot.

I jumped down to a nearby ledge and attempted to draw the crowd toward me, but the tactic failed because they refused to follow. Moving down to street level, I approached the horde directly to see if I could pull them away.

When that still yielded no results, I made a direct dash for the car to hook up the battery, but the zombies swarmed and attacked me immediately, forcing me to back off.

Over the radio, Spike suggested that I throw one of the firecrackers he had given me earlier to distract the horde. I followed his advice, tossing a firecracker to draw the zombies off to the side. While most shifted toward the noise, I still had to fight off a few remaining biters.

The firecrackers stopped crackling sooner than expected, and the remaining zombies began wandering back toward the car just as I finished arming the trap.

Realizing I had a healthy supply of firecrackers in my inventory, I threw another batch down to keep the street clear.

Once the infected moved away again, I dropped down and connected the wiring on the second car, successfully arming both trapped vehicles on the street.

My next task was to prepare light traps for the upcoming night mission, which required traveling to another sector of the area. I made my way across the rooftops to the marked location and located the high-voltage circuit, activated it to set up the first light trap.

I was then instructed to arm more devices and prepare additional light traps around the zone before dark. I reached the second designated spot and successfully activated the secondary light trap setup.

Checking my objectives, I saw two more spots remaining as dusk began to settle over the city. My path brought me into a massive railway yard, where I located another utility pole holding the next light trap connection.

The circuit was positioned high above the ground, and I could not immediately figure out how to climb up to it. I searched the perimeter while keeping a close eye on the swarms of zombies wandering below.

I attempted to climb the structure from the ground level multiple times, but I could not find any viable handholds.

Hoping to find a better angle from above, I climbed up onto an elevated bridge overlooking the tracks, but still didn't work.

Navigating through the railway yard had proved confusing, but looking out from the bridge, I finally realized I could leap across the tops of the utility poles to travel from one to another.

Using the elevated poles to bypass the ground completely, I made my way across the gap and at last reached the circuit box to complete the setup.

We'll check what happens next in another post.
