What we all feared has just happened, and it seems we're going to have to continue with this negative streak of delays regarding what is undoubtedly the most important video game of this decade: Grand Theft Auto. I saw the next big Rockstar release.
It turns out I was on my PC for a while after work when a shocking news story suddenly popped up exposing some problems at Rockstar, the developer of all the GTA games, regarding their employees and how they are treated. It seems there's no end to this epidemic of companies abusing their employees in the video game industry. devs
Right after that news came the announcement of the definitive delay of GTA 6 until the end of next year, specifically November, after all the Game of the Year nominations for that year. The reasons given were several, but I think it's better that they delay it than give us some poorly made version of what is undoubtedly the most anticipated game of the decade.
Although it's a bit disappointing to see this, especially since it's yet another delay among the many we've already experienced. Having seen this throughout the year, I think it's a wise decision to avoid launching a game riddled with bugs, something we've seen quite a bit of in recent years.
where developers with enough budget to release a decent game end up launching true disasters due to investor issues or a poor development team.
I do hope we can at least see an extra trailer to get a glimpse of the gameplay and the different environments. We've seen some previews that are mostly cinematic, but I want to see more of the gameplay and what it will be like to travel in this new Vice City, because so far we've only seen the story and little else.
We can speculate endlessly about the reasons for this delay. Maybe they didn't properly calculate the scope of the fixes they had to make, or maybe it's a strategy to keep the hype going, or maybe we're going to see one of the biggest flops in video game history.
We don't know a damn thing, and I think it's better that way for now. The only thing I hope for in this GTA is that the story is something more than the last few installments. We've already seen that they can do it with RDR, so I don't see why they can't get serious about the plot and The writing of this game

Lo que todos temíamos acaba de ocurrir y parece que vamos a tener que seguir con esta racha negativa de retrasos con respecto al que es sin duda el videojuego más importante de esta década, me refiero al Grand theft auto Vi la proxima gran entrega de Rockstar
Resulta que estaba en la PC un buen rato después de trabajar cuando de repente me salió una noticia salvaje que exponía algunos problemas en Rockstar, la desarrolladora de todos los GTA, con respecto a sus empleados y como los tratan y es que en el videojuego parece que no tenemos fin a esta epidemia de empresas que abusan de los devs
Justo después de esa noticia apareció la de el retraso definitivo del GTA 6 para finales de el año que viene, específicamente en noviembre ya después de todas las nominaciones al juego del año de ese próximo año, los motivos que han dado han sido varios pero creo que es mejor que lo retrasen a que nos den alguna versión mal hecha de el que es sin duda el juego más esperado de la década
Aunque es un poco decepcionante ver esto sobre todo porque ya va otro retraso más de los múltiples que hemos tenido a lo largo de este año, creo que es una decisión acertada para no llegar a esa fecha de estreno con un videojuego lleno de errores de lanzamiento, cosa que ya tenemos bastante experiencia viendo en los últimos años,
en donde desarrolladoras que tienen el presupuesto suficiente para sacar un juego decente terminan lanzando al mercado verdaderos desastres por culpa de los inversionistas o por culpa de un mal equipo de desarrollo
Si espero que podamos haber al menos algún trailer extra para ver aunque sea la jugabilidad y cómo van a ser los diferentes escenarios, hemos visto algunos adelantos que son más que nada cinemáticos pero quiero ver un poco más lo que es la jugabilidad y como va a ser viajar en esta nueva vice city porque hasta ahora solo hemos visto la historia y poco mas
Podemos especular eternamente sobre las razones de este retraso, capaz que no calcularon bien el tamaño de las correcciones que tenian que hacer, o puede ser una estrategia para seguir con el hype eterno, o capaz que vamos a ver uno de los mayores flop de la historia del videojuego
No sabemos un carajo y creo que es mejor que estemos asi por ahora, lo unico que espero e este GTA es que la historia sea algo mas que las ultimas entregas, ya hemos visto que pueden hacerlo con RDR, asi que no veo por que no ponerse serio con la trama y la escritura de este juego

La industria del videojuego necesita ser mas amable con los devs y menos con los CEOs o los accionistas, si siguen así tal vez vuelvan a tener alguna competencia si ex desarrolladores se unen. Aunque la cosa esta en que GTA es demasiado amado por la gente. Aunque yo prefiero los Saints Row personalmente.
