When you have been playing video games for a while, sometimes some gems come out of nowhere that you don't really know because you hadn't played them until then, at least not seriously, this is my thought with Papers Please, perhaps one of the most indie games. acclaimed history, with relentless gameplay that admits no errors and a way of narrating an experience that distinguishes it quite a bit from classic war games.
.
Although here we are not in a war as such, if we are in a totalitarian regime governed by a dictator, we receive a job request for us to be on border guard and approve or deny entry into the country to the hundreds of people who all days are spent at the border, it is a job that seems monotonous but has a lot of meaning especially in this fictional country, there are specific instructions on who to let or not enter, and each absence has a cost for us and our family.
The gameplay is simple to explain but very difficult to handle, we are in an inspection booth, we will be checking documents, expiration dates, stamps, following the specific rules that they give us from the high command and all kinds of rules and regulations to decide. Whether or not to let the citizen in front of us pass, if we disobey or fail we will have a bad time.
As the days go by, our checkpoint is updated both with new instructions from higher ups and with new mechanics that we have to learn as we go. It is a game that starts very simple with simple stamps or seeing if the passport was not there. over having to see medical permits, work permits, if the name matches the card he gave us, it is a whole series of things in which if we fail there is a fine involved and therefore things become more difficult for us. .
And we have to keep an eye on this, because for every mistake we commit it will cost us something of our salary and in addition they can also fire us if we commit too many, worse still they can execute us if we are not useful to the country, on top of all this we also have to take care of of our family with that salary that they give us at the end of each day, we have to buy food, pay the rent, medicines and other things that are usually super expensive in these regimes.
It has been quite difficult for me to get through the third or fourth day, from then on they make it difficult for us by giving us a sniper rifle as a result of some terrorist attacks in said embassy, if another suspicious being arrives we can close our post and begin to Shoot all the suspects in the area.
I tell them that it is an intense game like few others, you have to be fast but you have to be very sure where you put the stamp, there are tons of combinations where they can destroy our salary and with each passing day it gets more difficult at least In the story mode, there is another one that is the challenge mode where I think things are even more complicated, it is one of those indie games that I really like and that I will continue playing.

Once a friend got so addicted to this game that he spent a whole week without leaving his house because of the things that can be done in this video game, it was something totally strange, the truth is that this game has its touch, I played it once and it was fun, especially because of how complicated it can be at times.
This is such a neat little game. I've never gotten very far in it either, but it's very fun to sit down with and play!
thanks for the comment bro
