I can now say it with all seriousness: Hades 2 is one of my all-time favorite video games. I still haven't dedicated as many hours to it as I did to the first one, but believe me, I'll get there. The amount of content is surprising, and they've pushed all the boundaries of the first one, which was already a monumental video game.
That's without neglecting for a second everything that makes these games great: the frenetic pace, the difficulty of overcoming these bosses even with many of the improvements the game offers. In short, there are so many things to choose from in the gameplay, but today I want to talk about something in particular: final battles.
We can all agree that a good video game should have an ending that's both epic and challenging. I think the first one had exactly that when we faced Hades at the top of the Underworld. But here things are very different, both in the tone of the story and in the fight ahead, because we challenge Father Time himself.
After a long journey with Melinoe, going through all the stages until we reach the depths of the House of Hades, we find that it has been completely taken over by the Titan Chronos, imprisoning our entire family and imposing his yoke on all the subjects of that realm.
From the beginning of the game, we have a mantra to follow: "Death to Chronos," a character who, apart from being one of the best. cunning is also very intimidating since just seeing him and listening to how he talks as if he had all the time in the world makes me doubt a lot if I can beat him in a fight even with powers of the gods
For those curious, here I chose one of the latest weapons we unlocked in the game to see how I do using something new. I'll tell you right now that all the powers, Weapons and amulets are very well balanced and we can have fun with each of them in a good way. There are different combinations that I consider to be broken, but in the journey to discover them we do have fun.
The final fight happens after we've gone through the three kingdoms. It can be a bit tiring, and we can reach this fight with little more than a health bar left. I think that's the point. Can we finish Chronos after that trip? I wondered that at the beginning, but for my peace of mind, there's a Charon shop right at the boss's entrance, so if we're lucky, we can restore our health before continuing with the boss.
Once inside, the fight is intense. The attacks, rather than being impossible to stop, overwhelm you quite a bit. Not only does Father Time attack you, but also his minions, who overwhelm you throughout the battle. I usually distance myself and attack with spells, which are the ones I use the most throughout the fight. path
But even when that seems like an effective strategy, Chronos seems to notice and switches attacks, now closing the distance and attacking us up close. It's a constant escape from their movements that can leave us frozen in time at the mercy of other attacks that are less harmful but in Hades 2 it is important that they do not attack us at all since there is no regeneration
And the worst part is that after we defeat him, we learn the harsh truth: Chronos gets up again and throws us into a room that I think is the most difficult we'll encounter in the entire game. I can't quite put my finger on the attacks, but I think the most accurate description is that they're impossible to dodge, at least for me.
We'll have to finish him off as quickly as possible, since I think it's a battle of attrition. If we stack our cards right and choose the powers that give us the strength to strike, I think we won't have too many problems. Once we learn that trick, but yes, this is one of the hardest fights in the entire game, if not the hardest.

Ya puedo decirlo con seriedad y es que Hades 2 es uno de mis videojuegos favoritos de toda la vida, aun no le he dedicado tantas horas como al primero pero creanme que voy a llegar a eso, la cantidad de contenido es sorprendente y han expandido todos los limites que tenia el primero que ya de por si era un videojuego monumental
Eso sin descuidar ni por un segundo todo lo que hacen a estos juegos geniales, el frenetismo, la dificultad que tiene pasar estos jefes aun cuando tenemos muchas de las mejoras que nos ofrece el juego, en fin, tantas cosas que hay para escoger en su gameplay pero hoy quiero hablarles de algo en concreto, las batallas finales.
Podemos coincidir en que un buen videojuego deberia tener un final tanto epico como desafiante, creo que el primero tenia exactamente eso cuando nos enfrentaba a Hades en la cima del inframundo, pero aca la cosa es muy distinta tanto en tono de la historia como en la pelea que tenemos adelante, porque desafiamos al mismisimo padre del tiempo
Despues de un largo viaje con Melinoe, pasando por todas las etapas hasta llegar ahora a las profundidades de la casa de Hades nos encontramos con que esta ha sido tomada en su totalidad por el Titan Chronos, encerrando a toda nuestra familia e imponiendo su yugo sobre todos los subditos de ese reino
Desde el comienzo del juego tenemos un mantra por seguir y ese es "muerte a chronos" un personaje que aparte de ser de lo mas astuto tambien es muy intimidante ya que solo con verlo y escuchar como habla como si tuviese todo el tiempo del mundo me hace dudar bastante si puedo vencerlo en una pelea incluso con poderes de los dioses
Para los curiosos aqui escogi una de las ultimas armas que desbloqueamos en el juego para ver que tal me va usando algo nuevo, desde ya les digo que todos los poderes, armas, amuletos estan muy bien balanceados y podremos divertirnos con cada uno de ellos de buena forma, hay diferentes combinaciones que yo considero que estan rotas pero en el viaje por descubrirlas si que nos divertimos
La pelea final se da despues de que pasamos por los tres reinos, y si puede ser un poco agotador y podremos llegar a esta pelea con poco menos que una barra de salud pero creo que ahi esta el punto ¿podemos acabar con chronos despues de ese viaje? me preguntaba eso al comienzo pero para mi tranquilidad hay una tienda de Caronte justo a la entrada del jefe por lo que si tenemos suerte podremos restaurar nuestra salud antes de seguir con el jefe
Ya adentro la pelea es intensa, los ataques mas que ser ataques imposibles de parar te abruman bastante porque no solo te ataca el padre del tiempo sino tambien sus subditos que te agobian durante toda la batalla, yo suelo distanciarme y atacar con hechizos que son los que mas potencio durante todo el camino
Pero es que incluso cuando eso parece que es una estrategia efectiva chronos como que se da cuenta y nos cambia los ataques, ahora recortando distancia y atacandonos de cerca, es un constante escape de sus movimientos que nos pueden dejar congelados en el tiempo a merced de otros ataques que si son menos dañinos pero en Hades 2 importa que no nos ataquen del todo ya que no hay regeneracion
Y lo peor es que despues de que lo vencemos nos enteramos de cruda verdad y es que nuevamente Chronos se levanta y nos lanza en una sala que creo si es lo mas dificil que vamos a encontrar en todo el juego, aqui no consigo caracterizar los ataques pero creo que la descripcion mas exacta es que son imposibles de esquivar al menos para mi
Tendremos que acabar con el de la forma mas rapida posible ya que creo que es una batalla de desgaste, si pusimos nuestras fichas bien y elegimos los poderes que nos dan fuerza para golpear creo que no tendremos muchos problemas una vez nos aprendamos ese truco, pero si, esta es una de las peleas mas dificiles de todo el juego, si es que no es la mas dificil
