After breezed through the Underworld and discovering that there are countless ways to play Hades, I decided to head back to the top of the mountain, to the place where the gods of the Underworld are never supposed to go. Yes, Olympus is within reach for the player in the sequel to the modern classic Hades. Although we don't have it complete yet in all its splendor, we do have something to entertain us for hours and hours, and it looks pretty good.
Melinoe, another of Hades' daughters, is the protagonist, but this time the story goes much further. Beyond a family dispute, I think they have given a very interesting approach to the whole theme of mythology, the gods, the titans and also surprisingly the humans are in that equation and I think it will be more interesting than we expect, especially because of the dialogues and the characters that we meet that seem to me to be some of the best that Supergiant has done. But I'm getting ahead of myself because first comes the combat, which is somehow even more exquisite than that first glimpse into the mythological world of this video game. And Melinoe is a character who, if It's quite similar to Zagreus, the protagonist of the first game (in fact, the controls are mostly the same). They've definitely tweaked the combat system, and with it, the entire game.
I think the magic is what changes everything the most: an attack system that allows us to charge attacks while spending a new bar (magic). I can tell you right now that the attacks we can perform are insane. For example, even in these first levels, I'm clear that any charged, well-placed attack can take out all the enemies in an area, just like that!
That happened to me in the first area of the climb to Olympus, which I think is one of the easiest in the game but introduces an interesting system where you can choose between There are so many rewards for improving the princess of the underworld. Here, there are blessings from the gods to weapon upgrades, and I truly believe it's a system that differentiates this area from others.
After this first level, where we We dedicate ourselves to cleaning a town destroyed by the forces of time, the time comes to navigate and I think that from here the difficulty scale goes crazy and I think that not even with the best builds we are going to have a quiet moment, we get on a boat and we will have to pass between them and a number of enemies to reach the beach
Here we are undoubtedly introduced to the most complicated set of enemies in the game, and there is everything from giants with an eternal health bar to enemies that seriously damage us from a distance. And believe me, in these types of games you don't want anything to damage you because it's very difficult to recover health and very rarely will we have the opportunity to do so.
It's also at this level that the first boss that has given me a headache in this game is found, and curiously, he uses one of the weapons from the first game, but he uses it in a much more brutal way, throwing cannons and grenades everywhere. If there's any boss that you're going to have a bad time with in this game, it has to be this one. But once we overcome it, we enter the mountain of Olympus
Let's keep in mind that I'm testing weapons and I'm still not used to the axe, but I've found it incredibly useful and, most importantly, very fun to play. Those who played the first game know that they can customize the entire set of powers that the gods can give them, and for the most part, we find ourselves playing with the powers and their possibilities on the ground. I'm team Zeus and team Hera at the moment.
But there aren't just these two; there are more than a dozen gods who can give us their powers, along with another dozen characters in each location who can also give us some help if we're lucky. For now, I think I've figured everything out, but after a little research, I noticed that they apparently have another mega update pending before the release in which we'll be able to see

Despues de pasarme sin sudar el inframundo y descubrir que hay un sinfín de formas de jugar hades me decidí irme nuevamente a lo mas alto de la montaña, al lugar en donde se supone los dioses del inframundo jamás deben asistir, pues si, el olimpo esta al alcance para el jugador en la secuela del clásico moderno Hades, aunque todavía no lo tenemos completo en todo su esplendor si que tenemos algo que nos divierta por horas y horas, y se ve bastante bien
Melinoe, otra de las hijas de hades, es la protagonista pero esta vez la historia va mucho mas allá de un pleito familiar, creo que le han dado un enfoque muy interesante a todo el tema de la mitología, los dioses, los titanes y también sorpresivamente los humanos están en esa ecuación y creo que será mas interesante de lo que esperamos, sobretodo por los diálogos y los personajes que nos encontramos que me parecen de los mejores que hay hecho Supergiant Games
Pero me estoy adelantando porque primero esta el combate que de alguna forma esta incluso mas exquisito que aquel primer avispamiento al mundo mitologico de este videojuego, y Melinoe es un personaje que si bien se asemeja a Zagreo, protagonista del primer juego, (de hecho los controles son en su mayoría los mismo) sin duda le han dado unos retoques al sistema de combate y con ello a todo el juego
La magia creo es que lo que mas cambia todo, es un sistema de ataques que nos permite cargar los ataques al mismo tiempo que gastamos una nueva barra (magia) y desde ya les digo que los ataques que podemos hacer son una locura, por ejemplo yo ya en estos primeros niveles tengo claro que cualquier ataque cargado y bien ubicado puede acabar con todos los enemigos de una zona, asi de fácil!
Eso me paso en la primera zona de la subida al olimpo, que creo es de las mas sencillas del juego pero que te introduce un sistema interesante en el que puedes elegir de entre tantas recompensas para mejorar a la princesa del inframundo, aquí hay desde bendiciones de los dioses hasta mejoras del arma y en verdad creo que es un sistema que diferencia muy bien esta zona de otras
Luego de este primer nivel en donde nos dedicamos a limpiar un pueblo destruido por las fuerzas del tiempo viene la hora de navegar y creo que a partir de aquí la escala de dificultad se vuelve loca y creo que ni con las mejores builds vamos a tener un momento tranquilo, nos subimos a un barco y tendremos que pasar entre ellos y una cantidad de enemigos para llegar a la playa
Aquí nos introducen sin duda al conjunto de enemigos mas complicados del juego, y es que hay todo, desde gigantes con una barra de salud eterna hasta enemigos que nos dañan gravemente a distancia, y créanme que en este tipo de juegos no quieres que nada te dañe porque es muy difícil recuperar vida y muy pocas veces tendremos oportunidad de hacerlo
Es en este nivel también que esta el primer jefe que me ha dado un dolor de cabeza en este juego, y que curiosamente usa una de las armas del primer juego, pero la usa de una manera mucho mas bestial, lanzando cañones y granadas por todos lados, si hay algún jefe con el que la vas a pasar mal en este juego tiene que ser este pero una vez la superamos entramos a la montaña de olimpo
Tengamos en cuenta que estoy probando armas y todavía no me acostumbro al hacha pero me ha resultado increíblemente útil y lo mas importante de todo, muy divertida para jugar, aquellos que hayan jugado el primer juego saben que pueden personalizar todo el set de poderes que te pueden dar los dioses y en su mayoría nos encontramos jugando con los poderes y sus posibilidades sobre el terreno, yo soy team Zeus y team Hera de momento
Pero es que no solo están estos dos sino que hay mas de una docena de dioses que nos pueden dar sus poderes en conjunto con otra decena de personajes que hay en cada localización que también nos pueden otorgar algo de ayuda si tenemos suerte, por el momento creo que he descubierto todo pero investigando un poco he notado que al parecer tienen otra mega actualización pendiente antes del lanzamiento en el que vamos a poder ver
Amigo, me fui como por dos años de Hive y aun sigues jugando el Hades, increíble...
siii me termine el primero pero esta es la secuela que es incluso mas grande y sigue en acceso anticipado
