Just when it seemed like this roguelike was over, it surprises me again with new ways to play it. Although I'll publish the post for day 4 later, today I want to tell you about a new character I've unlocked in this game, who I think will be my main character from now on. Once we defeat the shogun for the third time, he unlocks and has some of the coolest weapons in the entire game.
He's also a traveler, but with much more powerful attack weapons. Although I'm not entirely convinced by his special ability, I've already tried out some sketches of what I can do with him, and I must say I liked it. I'm going to keep doing it.
In case you didn't know, Shogun Showdown has been one of my favorite video games these past few weeks. It's a strategy game where we have to fight. Clearing rooms of enemies using the turn-based combat mechanics this game offers is a challenge. I've talked about it in other posts, but I'll summarize them for you.
We have several stages of combat in a limited space of squares where we can move. Each movement, weapon reload, or attack uses a turn. This turn is used by enemies to do exactly the same thing as us. The objective is to clear the rooms of enemies without getting killed.
You can already imagine that, given the genre of this video game, there are countless weapon options and special powers that we can use, as well as a variety of characters like the one I'm going to show you. In this post, we're going to call him the Skinny Puncher.
Why? You ask. Well, some of his attacks are quite strong, but his special ability, which is what will save us from many awkward moments in these fights, still doesn't entirely convince me. It involves shifting enemies around, but only in our surrounding areas. This may sound very useful, but I think there are other characters who make better use of his special ability.
We'll have to rely on weapons or special powers if we ever get cornered. There are many enemies in this game that have movement patterns that tend to leave us in a corner. And since There, we simply crush ourselves, so it's very useful to use a character like the Wandeler, whose special ability is precisely switching places with the enemy.
But the truth is, I'm not complaining about this character, since if we manage to get a strong build, we can even reach the end of the game with great ease. We will, of course, need ranged weapons, and be very clear that this character's movement is crucial.
There are times when we'll take a lot of damage, but what I've noticed with this character is that we collect a lot more coins with him than with other characters, and those coins will allow us to buy potions or whatever we need to avoid dying. In some of these rooms, in addition to purchasing certain upgrades that are unattainable for other characters,
So, little by little, we're building this character, and I'd dare say it's one of the ones with the most upgrades or the best builds we can put together. I'm still testing it, but it's been a great feeling to reach the final battle with the Shogun and almost win it in my first game.
Although we're also continuing with my Wandeler, who is simply the best character in the entire game so far, and who got me to the fourth day and practically finished the entire game in one sitting. We'll continue with that in other posts, but this time I wanted to show you this new character and recommend the game again because I feel it's one of the best strategy games I've played this year.
Besides, it's an indie game, and you know that these types of games are my weakness, and whenever a developer is willing to let me try their game, I'm willing to defend it with all my might. This time, they've really made a statement. Spectacular game, and I'll say so. Play it now since it should be on sale in stores.

Cuando parecía que terminaba este roguelike vuelve a sorprenderme con nuevas formas de jugarlo, si bien el post del día 4 lo voy a publicar luego este día quiero hablarle sobre un nuevo personaje que he desbloqueado en este juego y el que creo que va a ser mi Main desde ahora en adelante, una vez derrotamos al shogun por tercera vez es que se desbloquea y tiene algunas de las armas más geniales de todo el juego
Es igualmente un viajero pero con armas de ataque mucho más potentes y aunque la habilidad especial no me convence demasiado ya he podido probar algunos esbozos de lo que puedo hacer con él, y debo decir que me ha gustado Y que voy a seguir haciéndolo
Por si no saben shogun Showdown ha sido uno de mis videojuegos favoritos estas últimas semanas y se trata de un videojuego de estrategia en donde tendremos que limpiar salas de enemigos utilizándola mecánica de combate por turno que este juego ofrece, ya he hablado de ella en otros post pero se los voy a resumir
Tenemos varias etapas de combate en un espacio limitado de cuadros en donde podemos movernos, cada movimiento, recarga de arma o ataque gasta un turno, turno en donde los enemigos pueden moverse para hacer exactamente lo mismo que nosotros y el objetivo es limpiar las salas de enemigos sin que nos maten
Ya se podrán imaginar que siendo este videojuego del género que es hay una infinidad de opciones de armas o poderes especiales que podremos usar, así como una variedad de personajes como el que les voy a mostrar en este post, vamos a llamarle el flacucho golpeador
Por qué? Preguntas, bueno algunos de sus ataques son bastante fuertes pero su habilidad especial que es la que nos va a salvar de muchos momentos incómodos en estos combates todavía no me convence del todo, se trata de cambiar a los enemigos del lugar pero solo en nuestras zonas aledañas, esto podrá sonar muy útil pero creo que hay otros personajes que aprovechan mejor su habilidad especial
Tendremos que depender de las armas o de los poderes especiales si en algún momento somos acorralados, en este juego hay muchos enemigos que tienen patrones de movimiento que tienden a dejarnos en alguna esquina Y desde ahí simplemente machacarnos por lo que es muy útil utilizar un personaje como el wandeler que su habilidad especial es precisamente cambiar de lugar con el enemigo
Pero la verdad no me quejo con este personaje, ya que si logramos que tenga una build fuerte podemos incluso llegar hasta el final del juego con suma facilidad, necesitaremos por supuesto armas de alcance y tener muy claro que el movimiento de este personaje es crucial
Hay ocasiones en dónde vamos a recibir bastante daño pero lo que he notado con este personaje es que recolectamos muchas más monedas con él que con otros y esas monedas nos van a permitir comprar pociones o lo que necesitemos para no morir en algunas de estas salas además de comprar ciertas mejoras que para otros personajes son inalcanzables
Así, poco a poco vamos construyendo este personaje y me atrevería a decir que es de los que más mejoras podemos hacerle o de las que más y mejores builds podemos armar, aún lo estoy probando pero me ha dado muy buenas sensaciones llegar hasta la batalla final con el shogun y casi ganarla en mi primera partida
Aunque seguimos también con mi wandeler qué es para mí sencillamente el mejor personaje de todo el juego de momento y es el que me ha llevado hasta el cuarto día y prácticamente a terminar todo el juego en una sentada, seguiremos con ese en otros post pero en esta ocasión quería mostrarles este nuevo personaje y volverles a recomendar el juego porque siento que es uno de los mejores videojuegos de estrategia que he jugado este año
Además de qué es un videojuego independiente y ya saben que este tipo de juegos son mi debilidad y siempre que hay algún desarrollador dispuesto a pasarme su videojuego para que lo pruebe estaré dispuesto a defenderlo con todo, en esta ocasión se han marcado un juego espectacular y así lo diré, juéguenlo ahora ya que debe estar en descuento en las tiendas
