I hadn't written about RS, for the simple reason that I didn't pay much attention to the musicalization scheme and how it works or who its artists are.
But I really spent a lot of time playing it and was dying to write this article. So this is focused on the gameplay.
There are several factors within the mission system. You have your player level, Energy, Fans, Skills and finally the Ego.
But if you have many fans and no skills, the "Ego" comes into play. This is activated from level 15 or when you have more than 1000 fans. If your ego is positive, the gain in Starbits for each mission is reduced.
For every mission you do there is a chance to find Drunk Fans (which are temporary) Pizza Slices (which regenerate energy 100%) Four Leaf clovers (to further increase the chance of finding fans)
Then, you can choose to do the biggest missions that are allowed or many smaller missions for a better chance of getting fans/pizza slides. You can focus on profits and make the missions more expensive, with higher profits.
Accessing the high levels without investing, requires time. A game where you can invest your time instead of money.
Although if you make both, Rising Star is a gold mine.
With a robust buy and sell market. The game has been running for 6 months now. The game strategies are completely free. The game currency is very little volatile, it keeps its price steady, something unusual in games; especially when they are free.
The mechanics are simple, but the possible strategies are varied. With a minimum investment the chances of climbing increase dramatically.
This is a sign that investments in the game are healthy.I bought some packs and I must admit I was lucky. I got some high level cards, which I sold quickly. And now i regret it.
As your fans grow, the collect rate of StarBits increases. Being active and with some luck, the same starbits generated in the game give you the possibility to buy more packs, completely self-financed.
The Rising Stars ecosystem has an active market and is still developing. New missions, new cards and of course new music to delight us while we play.
In a few words. Despite being in the alpha phase entering the beta. Rising Star is already entertaining and fun.
