Opening My First Shawarma Shop… In a Game | Shawarma Legend

in Hive Gaming • 10 days ago (edited)

Hello, gamers! 🎮

I was checking my emails when notifications from Steam suddenly grabbed my attention. Some of the games on my wishlist were on sale and the prices were tempting.

But then I reminded myself that Steam has season sales all the time and buying games only to let them rot in my library isn’t ideal. I still have a LOT of unplayed ones, so I decided to scroll through the games I already own.

While scrolling, I noticed something. I have a lot of business-related games.
Business games always get my attention. Maybe because deep down, I dream of managing my own real business someday.

But since real-life capital requires money I currently do not have, I settle for the games that would let me open businesses left and right without worrying the startup funds.

What business should I open today? I asked myself while scrolling through my Steam games.

And just like that, I found myself opening my Shawarma Shop.

In Shawarma Legend, I became a shawarma seller with a tiny stall. It's somehow nostalgic because it reminds me a lot of Hotdog Bush I used to play when I was younger.

Of course, my main goal is to serve the best shawarma in town and serve it to as many people as possible.

How to Make Shawarma (Shawarma Legend edition)

At first, all I had to do was:

  • Slice the shawarma meat
  • Prepare the pita
  • Add toppings like pickles/cucumber, mayo, and fries
  • Wrap and serve

It's easyyy! Well… it was easy until the customers started arriving. Orders everywhere. Chaos everywhere. Panic everywhere. Most of the time I had no idea where to click first 😅

About My Worker

I have a worker on the left side of my stall. He can help… but only if I pay for his training and tap him every time I need him to do something. He’s a bummer, but I need help, so I keep him. I have no choice 😂

My Favorite Upgrades So Far
Upgrading the shop is one of the most satisfying parts of the game. Here are my favorites:

upgrades make everything better

  • Worker Training ($1400) – auto-refills ingredients now… he's still lazy but less annoying
  • Sauce Upgrade – add sauce = better shawarma = better income
  • Automatic Pita Device – gives me pita instantly when needed. It's a life saver!
  • Auto-Wrapping Device – makes wrapping so much faster
  • Reduced Click Ingredients – From 3 clicks → 2 → eventually 1 click to prepare the shawarma ingredients
  • New Menu Items – Extra income from:
    • fried & stuffed kibbeh
    • cola
    • fries
    • orange juice
  • Fryer Upgrade – faster frying of potatoes
  • Potato Cutter – faster chopping of potatoes
  • Double-Edged Knife – faster slicing of the shawarma meat
  • Fixing the Broken Wall – higher product prices
  • Stall Expansion – more customers!

Challenges of Running My Shawarma Shop
As if tons of orders weren’t enough, I also have to deal with:

The Beggar

The person in green is the beggar.

He orders but doesn’t pay until you remind him. And because I’m busy, I sometimes forget! I’d only realize he didn’t pay when I heard his evil laugh. Too late! I swear that laugh haunts me.

The Thief

Early on, he’s still in prison. Once he’s out, he starts stealing my earnings! I have to beat click him to make him give it back.

Switching From PC to Phone

At first, I played it on PC through Steam, but I couldn't multitask. My other hand was itching to help slice, refill, and wrap.

So I looked for it on the App Store (it’s available on Android too!) and thankfully, it was there. I installed it right away.

Playing it on my phone seemed like I hired another worker but it's just my other hand helping 😂

What I don’t really like about playing it on my phone is all the ads! You can pay to get rid of them, but I don’t want to spend for it 😂 Still got the patience for it though

How This Game Made Me Feel

This game stressed me out sooo much but in a fun way. There were moments I literally held my breath because I had too many orders, too little time, and I'm doing everything at once. The customers also want their food asap! The beggar and thief made it more stressful!

There’s something so fulfilling about watching my tiny shawarma stand grow into a successful business. If only life and real business worked that fast! Hahahaha

Did I mention that the intro song is so catchy?! I’ve even memorized it 😆

Shawarma Legend may have stressed me out, but it was the kind of stress I’d gladly come back to. Fun, fast-paced, a bit chaotic, and somehow inspiring! Running a business in real life is stressful but also fulfilling. Who knows, maybe someday I’ll manage a real shop and not just a virtual one 😊

If you want something fast-paced and addicting, give this game a try!

Have you played business or cooking games before? Which ones stressed you out the most?

Gurl I thought nag open ka nga ng shop mo, hahaha. But anyways this looks fun, naalala ko yong sa burger game keneme naman. Pero walang thief or beggars, but here parang they made the game more exciting and fun ba haha. Pero i'm sure it will make me annoy din. Parang gusto ko etry kaso I hate ads naman, I don't have the patience like you. Lol. And for sure di din kakayanin ng phone koto aguyy. And nanotice ko lang ah yong art style nya. Hindi cuteeee haha

hahaha i wish! somehow the ads help din kasi they reward you coins if pinanuod mo yung ads. time consuming nga lang haha

And nanotice ko lang ah yong art style nya. Hindi cuteeee haha
