What are Rebellion Packs?
The Splinterlands game will release a new retail character edition called "Rebellion" after December 5, 2023. This new edition will include 5 characters and 5 random cards in layer packs. In addition to the new characters, new gameplay abilities, new combat variants, and a new trading stage will be added that could motivate players to make large investments to upgrade their equipment.
The Rebellion set is the most ambitious card release in the game yet, with 96 cards in total. Two limited edition promotional cards will be included during the pre-sale and nine airdrop legendary cards. The latter will be distributed through a revamped system to incentivize players to keep their Rebellion packs and cards.
Additionally, with the release of Rebellion, the Untamed set and all of its promotional and reward cards will no longer be allowed in Modern Format battles. This means that modern format collections will be more accessible and affordable to a wider audience. It will be the first time a set has withdrawn from the modern format since its introduction.
What will the new gameplay be like in Spt with the arrival of the new skills
In the presentation of the first cards exposed to the public through the publication of Spt we discovered the arrival of 5 new abilities:
Armored Strike: Any unit with this ability gains an EXTRA melee attack using its Armor stat. This allows characters to improvise with lethal force, using their gauntlets, shields, helmets, or perhaps physical attributes (beaks, hard shells, etc.) as weapons!
Corrosive Protection: When hit with a melee attack, a unit with this ability deals 2 damage to the attacker's armor. And reduces the attacker's maximum armor by 2. This is the nemesis of the repair skill. Therefore, it counteracts armor repairs and does not allow this ability to hold up in battle! Of course, keep in mind that this only affects units with armor.
Flank: If the unit with this skill is in the first position, then the unit in the second position gains the Reach skill. Prepare to take advantage of positioning and the element of surprise. Now your first two units can work together to take down the enemy tank!
Be vigilant: A unit with this ability results in adjacent allies taking one less damage from attackers with Sneak, Sniper, and Chance.
We also received the arrival of new functions from the sliver summoners.
The Splinterlands Rebellion set brings with it exciting new abilities and gameplay mechanics. It will feature five rare summoners, one legendary dragon summoner, and six legendary summoners designed by core buyers during the pre-sale.
Some summoners in the set will have the ability to summon cards of two different elements, allowing them to have a more varied team. However, these dual-element summoners will have a higher mana cost, requiring players to decide if the extra mana is worth spending.
Additionally, the Rebellion edition also introduces a new mechanic called Summoner Tactics, which will allow players to choose between two different sets of advantages or disadvantages for their summoner cards. Most, if not all, Rebellion edition summoners will have this Tactics mechanic.

How does it affect the economy of Splinterlands?
It seems very appealing to observe this type of battles and detail the clear potential that the new edition has, it is no secret to anyone that we are not at the peak of splinterlands profitability and that unlike a couple of years ago some cards and tokens are They have devalued a little, many said goodbye, others held and many others entered buying superinflated prices. The truth is that Spt is still in the updating phases and has not yet reached even 25% of everything it has planned according to its scheme of projects and updates.

¿Qué son los Packs Rebellion?
El juego de Splinterlands lanzará una nueva edición de personajes comerciales llamada "Rebellion" después del 5 de diciembre de 2023. ¿Cómo será la nueva jugabilidad en Spt con la llegada de las nuevas habilidades

Protección corrosiva: cuando es golpeada con un ataque cuerpo a cuerpo, una unidad con esta habilidad causa 2 daños a la armadura del atacante. Y reduce la armadura máxima del atacante en 2. Esta es la némesis de la habilidad de reparación. ¡Por lo tanto, contrarresta las reparaciones de armadura y no permite que esta habilidad se mantenga en la batalla! Claro, hay que tener en cuenta que esto solo afecta a las unidades con armadura.

Lo cierto, es que Spt aún se encuentra en fases de actualización y aún no alcanza ni el 25 % de todo lo que tiene previsto según su esquema de proyectos y actualizaciones.
Desde mi punto de vista considero que este tipo de actualizaciones puede ser bien visto por parte de los nuevos inversores y establecerse entre uno de los más sólidos proyectos con ideales Play2earn y NFT. Todas estas acciones en desarrollo muestran como resultado la preocupación y el compromiso por parte de los líderes por mantener y hacer cada día más escalable este fantástico proyecto.
