RE: Sony's latest patent is for a PlayStation Mobile Controller

It wouldn't take much to destroy the Switch in performance.

Most mobile gaming consoles use ARM, correct? At-home consoles typically x86? Both of those words are new to me, I had to look them up. The difference between ARM vs x86 is portability vs power from what I just learned. Also, ARM's light power usage makes ARM the best (and almost the only) design choice for portable devices.

I am thinking this is more of an attachment device rather than an actual mobile console. Perhaps connecting to a smartphone that you already own.

Sort:

For now I have not seen any console using ARM, only those cheap “Android consoles”, mostly phones have been using ARM. Apple is transitioning from x86 to ARM on their computer so that could kickstart an “ARMs race” (pun intended)

ARMs race 🤣

Is this not true?

Oh snap, you’ve got me! I just searched it up and the Switch indeeds uses arm already! I thought it used “Nvidia Tegra”, which was Nvidia's attempt to make mobile gaming platform.

I have learned something new!

We both did. Sounds like you know a lot about this type of thing.
