GT Sport is a racing purist's dream sim. I love this style of gameplay, but it definitely takes some getting used to. I was a pro with Forza Motorsport 2, but that was back in 2007-08. It has been a while since I have really sat down with a racing game like this. Plus this is the first Gran Turismo I've ever played beside the demo for the original back in 1997-98.
I am much more accustomed to the sideways drift-style of racing in games like Need For Speed and the latest Hot Wheels title. I pick those up right away and dominate. With GT, my style of driving just doesn't translate well. I crash and burn over and over. Good thing this is just a game.
Surely you can enjoy me attempting to finish a lap without wrecking. Only to fail again and again. My poof M4 took a beating.

No sir, still bending corners in the same Audi. This car has continued to be a beast for me. I do love BMWs though. There are so many cars that make me drool when I see them. I just keep saying no until it is obvious that a new car is needed.
That's so smart man, and the Audi is a good car for sure . I think the next new car I get will be a 2028 model or something cause the 300 is paid off and I just got a new engine for it. I'm just going to smoke out the headlights, maybe some halogen aftermarket tail lights and headlights, some new rims, and install an iPad or buy the newest model of the Uconnect touchscreen that's in it now. The iPad modification would be sick, I've seen it done, but I'll need a Bondo guy to do it right.

Good choice on your part as well. Your ride and mine both are great AWD sedans that are fun to drive. Those upgrades sound both cool and pricey. I have learned to be a cheapskate and avoid added costs outside of rims, as tempting as it all may be. Hell, I don't even have working bass in my car anymore and I have just learned to not listen to music when I drive rather than paying to get a new system.
The list is far too long for me to simply say I'd get this or that. I have basically narrowed it down to a coupe with at least 300 hp and preferably AWD, but maybe RWD or even another sedan. Most likely European auto again, but perhaps Japanese.

Some of those are a bit more dream-like than others due to the high cost, but I consider anything possible at this point. I am just being patient over here, I've still only owned two different cars in my life so far. There are of course cheaper versions of all of the above-mentioned that are still really dope, but I have my sights set high for the future.

Bro, you have not thought about acquiring a special steering wheel for this type of game?, the logitech usually work wonderfully on console and PC, personally I recommend you try the experience of these games with one since it has no comparison and the experience of play,

Great question. Yes, I have considered owning a wheel, but never have during my gaming lifetime. I don't feel the need to upgrade from using my DualSense. I like this controller so much. If I had the space to build an entire cockpit, then that would certainly be better. As of now, my area just wouldn't work well for a steering wheel. I can at least say I have tried someone else's wheel before. It has been many years since I experienced that sensation though. I have a feeling they are a lot better now than they used to be.

I hope one day you will be encouraged to buy one, I especially recommend the ones from the logitech brand since they have a high level of realism and are quite comfortable, I use one that is a special version for drifting, and it is very realistic thanks to the force feeback that they have that simulate the pressure of the steering wheel in a vehicle,
The truth is that currently the experience is quite good and it can be adapted quite easily to the table where we have our setup, a greeting from the cave❗🐻🎮🚀

My boyfriend used to play Dirt 5 but I really couldn't get into it. I loved dirt rally but I'm not too impressed by how Dirt 5 turned out 😞
I can't believe I waited more than a year to finally play this. I was missing out big time, it is perfect for how I enjoy racing. Maybe playing it on PS5 with the DualSense is what's making it so fun to me. I swear that it makes driving feel so much more immersive.
Maybe. Perhaps it would be a lot more fun if it is played in two. At least, I and my boyfriend were always playing together the racing games except this one and the GRID series
I'm more into Drift than drag racing and time attacks, but the game still looks cool for me. Good alternative to NFS, Forza and other racing games.
I 100% agree and most everyone else does too. You may remember that old NFS Underground games had drag events. They were cool at the time but got boring. Whereas drifting has become one of the most important parts of all arcade racers.
I thought you are going to drift on the first turn, it would have been epic with those smokes coming from the tires (^_^)
Drifting is difficult in Gran Turismo. I much more prefer the arcade-style of games like Need For Speed. You should come back and see my DIRT 5 videos that I'm about to start posting starting today. I do a lot of drifting in that game and I'm damn good at it too.
