I remember loving part V years ago when I first was learning Japanese and picked up a super famicom in a second hand store. Haven't played it since, so I don't know what I'd think now. Those photos you post seem to be a much more enhanced version, at least graphically.
Fun game (again, going off my memories here) but nothing compared to VI.
Yep, the PC version is adapted from the gameboy advance version which had enhanced sprites and art work developed for it.
I never had the SNES / Super Famicom growing up, so this is a very much "relive the past, in the present" for me. :D
