Holy Bread <<

Hello Friends

Bready or not, here I crumb! ... Or at least that is the battle cry that this gamer shouts before clicking the attack button. Why? Well, this week we are competing for prizes and glory in the HIVE based Dapp Game, Holy Bread.

Step into a fantasy world with me and take a look at this fun browser-based RPG game. Time to stop "loafing" around and get to this review, as progress at this game is on the "rise". (* also I promise only a few more bad bread puns, I know they are so "crumby").

Holy Bread started its existence on the Steem blockchain, then recently was ported over to HIVE under a new developer. Since then the new team has been hard at work, cleaning up the code and getting ready for an expansion and re-release of this interesting title.

The game in its current state is based around heroes, quests, and arena battles. Your characters gain experience points that allow them to level up, and consequently use more powerful great.

In the original game, you would earn "Crumbs", a form of in game currency, that you would combine into "Bread" or trade on the exchange. This mechanic has since been removed and has been replaced with an upvoting system for those who rank high in the arena.

The new developer has shifted away from the previous system as they want to focus on making the game fun to play first, and they are doing this.

A massive expansion is in testing right now that expands and builds upon the original game. I did get to play the expansion for a bit and think it is interesting, definitely something that is not currently on HIVE, but rather something new, and unique!

Holy Bread does have some issues (*that the new developer does acknowledge), however the core mechanics are interesting and the art style is fantastic. Along with the new, dare I say, whole new game and experience that is coming out soon, Holy Bread is going to make big waves on HIVE!
