D.Buzz Launching its Axie Scholarship Program
We are delighted to introduce the D.Buzz Axie Infinity Scholarship Program. All interested applicants are required to create a D.Buzz account and write a short introduction about themselves and explain why they should be chosen to be a scholar. D.Buzz scholars will use D.Buzz and other Hive DApps to share their D.Buzz scholarship journey.
For the benefit of those who do not know D.Buzz and Axie Infinity, we have included a quick introduction of the two below. You may skip the following two sections if you are already familiar with them.
What is D.Buzz?
D.Buzz is a decentralized social media app built on top of the Hive blockchain. This decentralized application ensures your social media posts are censorship-resistant, transparent, and free from manipulation by centralized entities that may restrict freedom of speech.
D.Buzz accounts are essentially Hive accounts that can interact with the many decentralized applications found on the Hive blockchain. The username you choose also serves as your human-readable address and can be used to transact Hive blockchain assets.
D.Buzz users have the potential of earning cryptocurrencies by simply sharing great content on their platform. Each time a D.Buzz user upvotes your content, you earn a share from the Hive reward pool. Rewards can run from a few cents to hundreds of dollars depending on upvotes.

What is Axie Scholarship?
Axie Infinity is currently the most popular and widely used blockchain-based game in the industry. It is a turn-based card game where players earn cryptocurrencies each time they win against players or complete daily quests. In some countries, earnings from the game exceed the minimum wage.
However, the cost of the acquisition of Axies poses a major barrier to entry for most players. A typical competitive team could easily cost more than $700 USD, with some top-tier Axie teams exceeding $1,500 USD.
To allow users to experience Axie gaming, they have established a scholarship program where Axie owners (Managers) can safely loan their Axie teams to players (Axie scholars). Axie managers can rest assured their Axies are safe as the scholars have no access to the wallet used to store the Axie team.
Why are we creating a scholarship program with Axie Infinity?
As most of you might have already known, NFT gaming has become the poster boy for crypto and blockchain technology use-case. It is now one of the primary drivers for onboarding new users into crypto. Many of them are excited about the notion of “true ownership” of in-game items, the ability to sell or use them in other games, and the prospect of earning money just by playing.
Games like Axie Infinity on Ethereum, Splinterlands on Hive, and Alien Worlds on Wax have attracted millions of players around the globe. Players who eventually become crypto holders, traders, and investors. Life-changing stories from early adopters of these games caught the attention of mainstream media, further stirring interest from outside the blockchain industry.
Axie Infinity enjoys a substantial lead in terms of mainstream media exposure, making it one of the most recognizable projects in the space. The scholarship program of Axie infinity plays a great role in making this happen.
That being said, the main purpose of the project is to open a channel where the Axie community and D.Buzz community can intersect in a mutually beneficial way. D.Buzz will ride the momentum generated by Axie infinity while the Axie scholars can take the wealth of knowledge, information, and expertise found on the Hive blockchain and its community.
Moreover, we hope to become a bridge where the Axie community can explore D.Buzz and the other Hive decentralized applications. It has been reported that Axie is still years away from becoming truly decentralized. On that end, D.Buzz community can show what it takes to be decentralized.
How to join the scholarship program
To separate real applicants from spam, we will require all applications to write a short essay about themselves and explain why they should be chosen. This is similar to other scholarship programs which require curriculum vitae but in essay form. Take advantage of this opportunity to let us get to know you better.
The essay should be submitted using any of the decentralized applications of Hive and posted in your D.Buzz account. This means only those with D.Buzz accounts will be accepted. If you find any difficulty in creating an account, comment below or join us over at discord for further assistance.
All applicants are required to include their contact information in the essay so that we can easily contact you once your application has been approved. Scholarship policies will be discussed in detail during the orientation period.
Duration of Application Period
The duration of the application period will run throughout the rest of the year. The continuation and expansion of the Axie scholarship depends entirely on the result of this pilot program.
SOME GROUND RULES
- 50-50 will be the split of the rewards, 50% for the scholar and 50% for the manager.
- 75 SLP is the minimum quota for the first two weeks. In succeeding weeks, 100 SLP is the quota.
- Scholars who do not meet the quota three times will be booted out of the scholarship.
- Scholars who will not be able to maintain an MMR (Rating) above 800 will be removed
- A firm NO to the use of multiple accounts. Only those who do not own Axies or have an Axie scholarship are allowed to apply.
- You are only allowed to play one Axie account on one device, but you can use multiple devices on one account.
- Do not use VPN when using Axie Infinity.
Make sure you have the proper time and time zone on the device you are using. - Do not play while the game server is down.
- The use of automated software to play the game is not allowed.
- Sharing of QR and login details is strictly prohibited.
- The scholarship program reserves the right to change any of its rules.
- Scholars are required to participate in all D.Buzz related activities

This is a great plan for buzzers! I think more people will apply for the scholarship.
By the way, is there any way where you can increase the proportion of the scholars? Like 60% to scholar and 40% to manager. Just curious.
