About Dcity
Dcity is a mathematical and trading game based on non-fungible tokens available on Hive-Engine. Players build their own cities with tokens representing buildings, citizens, technologies, and earn income in the form of hive (based on ranking) and SIM token (based on city income). There are also cards that players can get only from playing the game like technologies, backgrounds and prevention cards.
Next Combined Building
At the end of Month creating Central Bank will not be possible anymore.
The new combined building, Farm Corporation, will be available without time limits.
Farm Corporation
Ingredients: 1x Construction Site, 20x Farm, 1x Office, 1x Parking, 1x Public Restrooms, 3x GMO Farming, 1x Basic Automation
Attributes change (used buildings to combined building):
Population: 100 to 0
Income: 137 to 260
Popularity: 109 to 0
Workers: 244 to 200
Tax Refunds
Starting from the next rewards payout every Church will give you 1 SIM tax refund (total refund can't be higher than paid tax). This will make the fight for top spots in income ranking more interesting.
Final Lobby changes
Main Lobby changes (first 2 options and increased max on holding rewards)
- income tax reduction max 20%
- hive rewards % pool daily, max 1%
- war tax, not changed, max 10%
- holding rewards daily , max 200 hive
Rankings Lobby:
players will decide about hive rewards distribution between 5 attributes rankings
- population
- income
- popularity
- education
- creativity
Implementation of the new lobby changes should start in June, with main lobby changes and initial voting for rankings. Rankings settings will change every 2 weeks, based on votes at the moment of change. Time frame for rankings rewards change will be different than president election date.
Governance
If you have SIM power (holding SIM) don't forget to vote in dcity president elections

Why isn't there a cap on taxes? It says I have been taxed 100% for the past month.
I used to spend SIM on new buildings every few months after my city earned enough to afford one. I guess I won't be doing that anymore since there is no way to influence whoever is in charge setting the taxes so high.
Edit: Nevermind. I read the click-over text on Income Tax. So we are suffering from low SIM prices, and this inflation is fixed by taxing everyone? Does this system work as intended?
so i would need like 3500 churches to make some sims off of the "game" again?

even 1 church will give you 1 sim back, 20 churches can establish a base income of 20 sim that cannot be taxed away. I think its a very clever new game mechanic!

Interesting changes. I will need couple of Farm Corp to reduce level of unemployment in my city.
What a great update - especially great to add that boost to the church, third edition here I come!
When 3rd came out I was hoping that these kind of smaller updates would pop up every now and then. This appears to be the first one, and it certainly doesn't disappoint :).

Why'd you choose Farming Corporation? That seems like such a clunky bad term to use. Why not Agricultral Cooperative?
Consider the population and popularity goes down to 0, I don't think cooperative is the one you are looking for.

Hopefully, that will cause some peeps to buy more SIMs. They can't complain about low SIM prices and high income taxes forever when there are ways to influence them.
Not seeing any reason to buy SIM, why should they?
And you'd be mostly correct as only the top players will be the ones purchasing SIMs to affect governance.
The only thing that could be remotely worthwhile is the increased holding rewards pool. Even then, not sure if it's worth the hassle.
I think the 4 HIVE per card/0.005 HIVE peg SIM are the biggest stumbling blocks to the income dilemma. Something needs to be reworked.
Agree - since the new UI I am not really playing anymore at all as I simply do not get it, too complicated all of that for a seasoned player like me.
