Pain...This is the Final Part of my playthrough of the story mode of Prince of Persia 2008.
I have completely collected all of the light seeds, this was a painful grind.
And now my review of Prince of Persia 2008.
When I rate things, I always use a three-point system.
1 for Bad
2 for Okay
3 for Great
Prince of Persia 2008. 1/3. It's terrible.
The Good:
It's graphically and technologically better than it's predecessors.
the conversations between our protagonist and the princess are fun.
Characters are very unique from each other.
Diverse Locations.
Fast Travel.
The game gets progressively complicated and harder as you cleanse the fertile lands.
You can never get a game over, ever.
The Bad:
The pacing of the story did not match the pacing of the gameplay. The Story wants you to stop an Evil God escaping his prison posthaste BUT you have to collect light seeds in order to unlock other locations.
It being an Open World is bad when there's nothing else to do but to collect said Light Seeds.
No Progression, No Combat Abilities to Unlock.
The way you activate and maintain the conversations of the Protagonist and the Princess.
The game is 90% Parkour mainly due to the collection of Light Seeds which made me rest after half an hour of gameplay.
Light Seeds.
the DLC 'Prince of Persia: Epilogue' is not available for Windows.
The Neutral:
the buttons shown in Quick Time Events are symbols instead of actual buttons, they do however show the same color as an xbox controller though. I don't know how will that work with a PS3 gamepad though.
I find it disappointing that by the end there is almost no dialogue. it feels ...rushed. see the video above.
The Combat System is ...okay. it's a combination of 'match the color' and 'rhythm-based' gameplay.
Final thoughts:
I'm just happy to be done with it, the Ending was just lackluster.
Like what the hell happened to Farah, his donkey?.
This is more of a tech-demo than an actual game.
It's forgettable.

I don't know about the game, but it was super fun to read this
Open worlds that has nothing to do in them are so bad. I kinda loled reading through this. Let's hope the next one is better :P
