The Chosen One – Final Part: The Rise of Edab’s Garage

in Hive Gaming16 days ago

Heeey everyone, today we’re finally putting our first project to the test. First thing we’re doing is finishing up the bodywork, which is in pretty terrible shape :D We took the car to get washed so we could really see how bad the chassis was and figure out how much we’d need to invest in body parts… I have to say, it was worse than I imagined.

About 80% of the chassis was rust, and I could barely restore a few pieces ;( The ones that weren’t missing were completely unusable. But that’s not going to stop me—too much time has gone into this to back out now.

We stripped the chassis to remove the destroyed parts and started buying new ones. I have to say, the final look really convinced me. The original color was multicolor, so I quickly took it to the paint station and went with a color you probably weren’t expecting.

I used a chameleon green and black for the wheels and other details ;) Honestly, I would’ve loved to add the original Hellcat vinyls, but I had no money left for anything :D Literally, all I had left to do was align the car and take it to the track ;D So that’s exactly what we’re doing now. After dropping it off at the test station, I aligned the wheels—which were a total mess. Here are the angles they had before alignment.

And finally, I took it to the racetrack ;D I have to say, for an American car it handles surprisingly well. I hit a top speed of 206 km/h on the track and the braking was incredible for the weight of the Challenger.

My jaw dropped when I took it to the airstrip for the max speed test O_O.

292 km/h is insane for a stock car to reach, but with that 6.2L HEMI engine, I guess it’s not that surprising. I nearly spit out my coffee when I brought it back to the shop and saw the Hellcat’s sale price.

Almost 130,000 credits. Considering it cost around 20,000 and the build price was about 50,000, the profit is massive. That gives me a nice margin for future projects. It’s amazing to think it started like this:

And ended like this:

That’s how the first official project from Edab’s garage comes to an end.

Thanks so much to everyone who comments on my posts—I always try to reply to every single one. Soon I’ll be posting content from other games beyond just car-related ones. Personally, I’m obsessed with cars (in case you hadn’t noticed xD), but I play other titles too and plan to share some of that content :) Thanks for reading, and see you in the next post.
