RuneScape - Fantastic nostalgia, I am coming back!

This game is an unstoppable gem, still rocking its own magic even after all those years.

Some players never ever stopped playing or they came back instantly, when the Old School RuneScape was released again in 2013. It's crazy that this game still has so huge and dedicated fanbase.

Over 90000 people are online right now on RuneScape and over 70000 are playing Old School RuneScape at this current time.

I saw over 200000 players online yesterday just on RuneScape so it really depends on many different factors like if it's a weekend or not and things like that.

The game is really popular and thriving so there are a lot of bots. Jagex is also not against players having more than one account so you should take the number of players online with a grain of salt.

With the release of the mobile version, many people are coming back for the good old nostalgia too.

If you have ever played RuneScape you probably know about this nice piece of music below. Does it bring you back any memories?

I am thinking of coming back, maybe for a while, to level up some skills, listen to the sounds and go to the wilderness again.

RuneScape is all about the grind and sometimes you need a lot of gold to easily level-up your skills or to buy some great weapon or armor.

I don't have time to grind and I actually think there is a faster way to make some big amounts of gold - flipping items on the Grand Exchange. Flipping is an act of purchasing any item in hopes of selling it back to the market for a higher price then what you have invested in it.

Imagine RuneScape's Grand Exchange like it's the Wall Street.

On the RuneScape website you can even look at top movers, most traded items and so on. You can even look at the charts and history of the prices. It's pretty sophisticated for just a one thing in the game. RuneScape in general is really vast in terms of what can you do, story, skilling, minigames, quests and things like that.

Let's look at cooper ore for example. 3 monts ago the price of one cooper ore was in average 40 gold and the average volume is currently 500000 cooper ore daily.

If we buy 500000 cooper ore that's 180 million gold needed. If you then wait 2 or 3 months you could sell it for like 575 million gold and earn 395M gold by just waiting for a right moment.

Buying cooper ore right now would not really make sense because it already surged too much. Some items though are maybe worth the risk.

I would look at items that are going down price wise, but it's more complicated than that. You really have to look into the items too, if they are useful and things like that. Some items can also be very speculative when a new update is coming out. There are also items that will always stay valuable because they are needed for player killing, skilling or they are scarce.

You will obviously never know what's gonna happen in the end, it's just a game! This whole thing is really cool in my opinion and you can learn a thing or two about the real world from this too.

Just by making this post I am more and more excited trying this game again and use this method to make some gold. I think the hardest part will be getting some starting gold. Has anyone of you still holding some so I can buy it from you?
