A mysterious disease consumes the inhabitants of the old fantasy world. The plague affects everyone, it turns the blood in the veins black, the pain is unbearable, and it causes nasty birthmarks all over the body. The inhabitants are devastated and decide to set off in search of a cure in a new, better world described as rich, magical but also wild. This is how I started my adventure in "GREEDFALL", a game that intrigued me during the first two hours, after five hours I saw imperfections, and by 30 I already knew that it would be a very good production, which I will definitely come back to more than once.

The studio, which is responsible for all the confusion, is generally associated with average productions. So you cannot count on the fact that "GREEDFALL" will get on the spot 10 out of 10, because it is unrealistic considering the previous titles of the studio. The game has a kind of "cavities", but the atmosphere makes us forget about the disadvantages and we want to dive deeper into the world of the so-called "New World".

There is not much freshness in the game, but instead it makes good use of familiar patterns that evoked sentimental memories from the beginning. Walking around the island several times, I felt the aroma of Gothic in my head and when I wanted to refute this thought, I still felt like in Jan's mine in Gothic 1. The fight in this game is also a bit "wooden" but it did not bother me completely. In Gothic, it was not too colorful with that, and it was still great to play. In the perception of the game, you are picky about how the characters descend from the hill and other such "stupidities", but the world that is in it, in my opinion, perfectly mixes the magical and fantastic elements, the atmosphere of colonization and conquistadors, and of the inquisition.

The views encountered have history, cultural relationships and the reasons of individual nations. Sometimes while waiting for the situation to develop, I was struck by the views of what is happening in the game world. The image of a sick mother lying in the streets of people and the doctors who support them. A dirty, plague city, several dozen minutes later - a completely different world, beautiful, unspoiled by civilization, but still hiding many secrets. Still from ancient times, in general, it is this semi-open world, because sometimes you can't go somewhere because it's too high, and here is a bush, it's nice that the creators found a way to diversify such a formula, e.g. they gave a few paths, usually between the data clearings - for example, there are several of them, but they also require dexterity to pass. Walk in the rift or climb to the higher sector. In turn, we move between specific cities, villages or camps using fast travel or Caravan with a specific duration of such a trip.

No open world. It's a pity, but this one here is also very nice, ruins, nooks and crannies, puzzles and question marks that tempt you to explore. However, not to be too colorful, especially cities have their uninteresting ailments, everyone looks very similar, the models of buildings are repetitive, sometimes almost identical. On the plus side, people simulate life in individual cities well. And since we are talking about people - you can meet familiar faces, from time to time it can also be emphasized that the facial expressions are weak, but it is more about the atmosphere and not about such things.

My hero has been joined by a few people, although we will wander at the beginning with two friends that we will choose either for sympathy as it was in my case or by looking at the role they play. Fighting in three - always more lively, we have a sense of support, especially in battles with stronger enemies. There is an option that the opponent focused his attention on another target, it was very important for me, and since I'm talking about the skirmishes - initially they were not that spectacular, and with time I only started to enjoy them a lot, it was enough that I also joined the firearms and the dynamics increased significantly. Here, however, the fight is fun, but not many opponents, because there are not too many of them throughout the entire length, which is a pity.

What i think? - This is not Gothic, but still worth of play :)
