Terminator is one of the best franchises of all time, since its first movie came out in 1984 it made a tremendous impression on people and more and more people wanted to see the story unfold between Sara, John Connor and skynet.

In my case I started to know about this world of Terminator by my father since he is a great fan of this franchise, he told me that he saw like 4 times the first delivery in the cinema, and he transmitted me that same emotion for this universe where the machines and the human race are in a constant conflict.

Something that I liked a lot was to find on the internet that there were video games related to movies, I had never really heard about a video game about Terminator. So when one day after high school I was spending some time in the cyber, I saw Terminator Salvation on the PC and before I started playing I researched it on the internet to see what it was about or to look for some gameplay to see the gameplay, I was a little disappointed because in many portals I read that it was the worst game ever released. But even though different players say that this game is the worst dung mountain that exists, I gave it a chance and I really liked it and in my case I can say that it is a very excellent game that offers you very intense levels of emotion, for example: When a T-6000 appears in front of you and you have nowhere to go and your only way out is the M4 that you have in your hands and your good aim.

That's why I gave this video game a chance by totally ignoring the critics and in this post I want to offer you a review of this video game to show you from my opinion what are the excellent things it has and why I liked it so much.

General aspects of the game

The story is situated of this video game is located 2 years before the events of the film, in the city of Los Angeles. Where we follow closely a young John Connor being a race soldier with the same mission of always destroying skynet, the machines and thus save the human race. With intense fights in third person and some sequences taken from the film also enemies created exclusively for this video game.

In Terminator Salvation John Connor's mission is to destroy a skynet base and obtain valuable information, but this will prove to be a really difficult mission since you constantly face air or ground machines with massive attacks and surprise that will make you feel adrenaline all the time.

The gameplay is typical of third person shooter games, you have to move constantly, flank, cover behind walls and use your squad to progress and complete the mission. Also this game is similar to others like halo, call of duty or gears of war, since you can avoid the attacks of the machines with different modes of cover and attack being covered. Also the character regenerates the health when he does not receive any attack or when he is covered.

At the beginning your only weapon is an M4, but throughout the game you can equip yourself with different weapons such as: RPG-7, shotguns, M79 grenade launchers, a Remington 870 and a M249 light machine gun, also different types of fragmentation or blinding grenades.

In order not to make it easy for you, the enemy's artificial intelligence keeps a complete and constant track of your movements and coverage. The game can be played alone and complete the campaign or with a local friend in split screen where you will be John Connor and your friend will be Blair Williams.

In this game you go through different scenarios such as sewers, ruined buildings, highways and open spaces where you will be avoiding ambushes and hitting the machines with everything you have.

The reception of this game or the reviews what it has are not at all favorable, since they say that it is a loose game, with lack of argument, repetitive and very short who offers a shocking experience. In fact the average score is 5 out of 10 or also D+.

My opinion

Just as every mother is not going to say that her child is ugly, I as a Terminator franchise fan, can't say that this game is a pile of crap, admittedly a bit frustrating, predictable and repetitive. But it is always good to give these rejected games a chance to give one's opinion, and I can say that yes, Terminator Salvation does offer an excellent time of excitement, adrenaline and suspense when you play it.

The game starts very intense and as it unfolds is adrenaline all the time, although the hardest thing I can say about playing this video game, was to aim at specific parts of the machines to be able to knock them down and also the T6000 are a very hard nut to crack since you have to spend a whole armory to be able to knock one down.

But in terms of graphics, sound, plot and playability it is a very acceptable game, so my score for this game differs a lot from the score given by the experts, I give it a score of 7.8 because if it is a good option to play Because first it is not an eternal game or with a campaign that lasts quite long as it is common in other third person shooter games, second I tell you a little bit of John Connor's story and if you play it you can understand better the plot of the Terminator movies and third even though this game was rushed to coincide with the release of the movie it offers a good experience when playing.

En mi caso yo empecé a saber de este mundo de Terminator por mi padre ya que él es un gran fan de esta franquicia, él me contó que vio como 4 veces la primera entrega en el cine, y me contagió esa misma emoción Por este universo donde las máquinas y la raza humana están en un constante conflicto.

Algo que Me gustó mucho fue encontrarme en internet que existían videojuegos referentes a las películas, Yo realmente jamás había escuchado sobre un videojuego acerca de Terminator Así que cuando un día después del liceo estaba pasando un rato de ocio en el cyber, vi Terminator Salvation en la PC y antes de empezar a jugar lo investigué en internet para ver de qué trataba o buscar algún gameplay para ver la jugabilidad, me llevé una pequeña decepción ya que en muchos portales leía que era el peor juego que se había sacado. Pero A pesar de que distintos jugadores digan que este juego es la peor montaña de Bosta que existe, le dí una oportunidad y realmente me gustó y En mi caso puedo decir Qué es un juego muy excelente que te ofrecen niveles de emoción muy intensos, por ejemplo: Cuando aparece un T-6000 enfrente de ti y no tienes a dónde ir y tu única salida es el M4 que tienes en tus manos y tu buena puntería.

Por eso, yo le dí una oportunidad este videojuego obviando totalmente las críticas y en este post quiero ofrecerte un review de este videojuego para mostrarte desde mi opinión cuáles son las cosas excelentes que tiene y porque me gustó tanto.

Aspectos generales del juego

La historia se sitúa de este videojuego se sitúa 2 años antes de los acontecimientos de la película, en la ciudad de Los Ángeles. Donde seguimos de cerca a un joven John Connor siendo un soldado razo con la misma misión de siempre destruir a skynet, las máquinas y así salvar a la raza humana. Con intensas luchas en tercera persona y algunas secuencias sacadas de la película también enemigos creados exclusivamente para este videojuego.

En Terminator Salvation la misión de John Connor es destruir una base de skynet y obtener información valiosa, pero esto resultara ser una misión realmente difícil ya que constantemente te enfrentas a máquinas aéreas o terrestres con ataques masivos y sorpresa que te harán sentir adrenalina todo el tiempo.

La jugabilidad es la típica de los juegos de Shooter en tercera persona, tienes que moverte constantemente, flanquear, cubrirte detrás de muros y utilizar tu escuadrón para progresar y completar la misión. También este juego es parecido a otros como halo, call of duty o gears of war, ya que puedes esquivar los ataques de las máquinas con diferentes modos de cobertura y atacar estando cubierto. También el personaje regenera la salud cuando no recibe ningún ataque o cuando está cubierto.

Al principio tu única arma es un M4, pero a lo largo del juego te puedes equipar con diferentes armas tales como: RPG-7, escopetas, lanzagranadas M79, una Remington 870 y una ametralladora ligera M249, también diferentes tipos de granadas de fragmentación o cegadoras.

Para no ponerte la fácil la inteligencia artificial del enemigo mantiene un seguimiento completo y constante de tus movimientos y de tu cobertura. El juego se puede jugar en solitario y completar la campaña o con un amigo local en pantalla dividida donde tú serás John Connor y tu amigo será Blair Williams.

En este juego pasas por distintos escenarios tales como alcantarillas, edificios en ruinas, autopistas y espacios abiertos dónde estarás esquivando emboscadas y dándole con todo lo que tengas a las máquinas.

La recepción de este juego o las reseñas qué tiene No son para nada favorables, ya que dicen que es un juego flojo, con falta de argumento, repetitivo y muy corto quién ofrece una experiencia impactante. De hecho la puntuación promedio se sitúa en 5 de 10 o también en D+.

Mi opinión

Tal como toda madre no va a decir que su hijo es feo, yo como fan de la franquicia Terminator, no puedo decir que este juego es un montón de excremento, es cierto que un poco frustrante, predecible y repetitivo. Pero Siempre es bueno darle una oportunidad a estos videojuegos rechazados para poder dar por uno mismo una opinión, y puedo decir que Si, Terminator Salvation si te ofrece un excelente rato de emoción, adrenalina y suspenso cuando lo juegas.

El juego empieza muy intenso y a medida que se desenvuelve es adrenalina todo el rato, aunque lo más difícil que pueda decir de jugar este videojuego, fue apuntar en piezas específicas de las máquinas para poder derribarlas y también los T6000 son un hueso muy duro de roer ya que tienes que gastar toda una armería para poder derribar a uno.

Pero a nivel de gráficos, sonido, trama y jugabilidad es un juego muy aceptable, Así que mi puntuación para este juego difiere mucho de la puntuación dada por los expertos, yo le doy una puntuación de 7.8 porque si es una buena opción para jugar Porque primero no es un juego eterno o con una campaña que dure bastante tiempo como es común en otros juegos de Shooter en tercera persona, segundo te cuento un poco de la historia de John Connor y si lo juegas puedes entender mejor el hilo argumental de las películas Terminator y tercero a pesar de que este juego fue sacado de prisa para que coincidiera con el estreno de la película te ofrece una buena experiencia a la hora de jugar.
