I definitely stick with the traditional, in fact I've had the same mouse for 5 years and I find it perfect for gaming.

Whatever works for you brother. If it is something you truly love and enjoy using, then that surely is the perfect fit for you.
I myself was using the Razer Viper, it ran quite well for about 2 years. Later on I had to switch because it started showing problems. For now, the plan is to use this one long-term, for as long as it lasts really. Let's see
