New background for dCity: VOLCANO!

Far far away, there is a volcano land... with mythical creatures that live in the hot lava...

I had a ton of fun making this background illustration for dCity, I really love how the giant cat-ish creature turned out.

I worked in Adobe Illustrator, my favorite software for vector illustration. The color palette for this illustration is mostly shades of brown, black, orange and redish. The bone color pops out and so does the blue on the sunken ship.

For this background I would love to have animation on the cat creature and the volcano smoke, here is a rough sample of how it can look:

Of course the clouds could move too, but the movement would be just horizontal, with no need of sprites like the smoke and cat.

I agree - I love this background! It definitely has some type of pagan symbolism going on - very cool.

Oh... I would never in my life try to include pagan symbols im my illustrations. That's definitely a coincidence.
