Ah yes, I just remembered this. I once heard on the Polish channel "Okiem Deva" that the game didn't sell well, and unfortunately, an idealistic model for sales or running a business doesn't hold up in a capitalist world.
It really is a shame-I loved Zero parades for dead spies nearly as much as Disco Elysium and Disco Elysium is among the best games I ever played. In fact if I would have like 20-30 million eur(that will probably never happen...) I would ask that company to make a game based on a certain anime. But since I am almost 20-30 million short of that goal I will just hope that they will make either Disco Elysium 2 or Zero parades 2 in the future.
Lol, the bit about spending money to make an anime made me smile—my friends and I feel the same way about Berserk, for instance; there’s just no chance of a proper adaptation. I mean, a full-scale adaptation isn't happening, and watching a "sanitized" version of Berserk makes about as much sense as watching a censored porn movie—which is to say, none at all.
As for creating a sequel to a game like Disco Elysium—+1. It shouldn't be difficult to pull off, given the simple graphics.
I would love a Berserk game made by CDPR just as much as I would love Monster game made by creators of Disco Elysium. Sadly I don't think either of them has any chance of happening- CDPR already has a lot of plans and ZA/UM has financial troubles...
Oh, I would like to see Berserk in game form too. Imagine Eclipse in that way - it could put the new Hellraiser—in which things reportedly get pretty intense—to shame. Monster could be easier if we talk bout same / simmiliar engine to Disco Elysium.
