As I'm a bit of a gaming freak, I've been wanting my own gaming PC for a very long time. Until now, I've only ever had laptops that were mainly designed for office work and I played games on consoles or via cloud gaming. However, I'm just used to a mouse and keyboard from a young age and don't get on too well with the controller. And besides, cloud gaming is quite nice, but it definitely has its drawbacks.
That's why I finally decided to treat myself at the beginning of this year and started putting together my first self-built gaming PC. Without the help of a good friend and the experience from various internet forums and communities, I would probably have failed, but it has now been finished for a few weeks and is running as it should. So far I'm very happy with the PC and proud that I put it together and assembled it myself.
In the end, I ended up with the following setup:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 6800
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 NEO RGB 32GB; DDR5-6000
Mainboard: MSI PRO B650-S WIFI
Power supply: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 750W
SSD: Crucial P5 Plus SSD 500GB
CPU cooler: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240 A-RGB
Fan: Arctic P12 PWM PST A-RGB 120mm
Case: Phanteks Eclipse G300A
Screen: MSI G272QPF, 27”
I already had a mouse and keyboard. Overall, it was important to me when putting together the PC that I had a good price-performance ratio, which is why I primarily opted for AMD. I also wanted to be future-proof, which is why I opted for a DDR5 setup. And last but not least, I couldn't do without choosing components with RGB lighting as far as possible - the child in me just came out. 😄
Unsurprisingly, I use the PC for gaming, but also for my office work, which I used to do on my laptop. Games that I currently play a lot on my PC are Fortnite (yes, even gamers approaching 30 can like this game) and Helldivers 2 (an incredibly good and fun game, one of the surprises of the year). But I also play games like Age of Empires 2, Civilization 6, Counterstrike 2, Enshrouded and of course Splinderlands again and again.

da ich ein kleiner Gaming Freak bin, gab es in mir schon sehr lange den Wunsch nach einem eigenen PC, der auf Gaming ausgerichtet ist. Bisher hatte ich immer nur Laptops, die hauptsächlich für Office Arbeiten ausgelegt waren und die Games habe ich auf Konsolen bzw. über Cloud Gaming gespielt. Jedoch bin ich einfach von klein auf Maus und Tastatur gewohnt und komme mit dem Controller nicht allzu gut klar. Und außerdem ist Cloud Gaming ganz nett, aber es hat definitiv seine Nachteile.
Deshalb habe ich Anfang diesen Jahres den Entschluss gefasst mir endlich mal etwas zu gönnen und habe damit angefangen mir meinen ersten eigenen und selbstgebauten Gaming PC zusammenzustellen. Ohne die Hilfe eines guten Kumpels und die Erfahrung aus den verschiedensten Internetforen und Communitys wäre ich vermutlich daran gescheitert, allerdings ist er nun seit einigen Wochen fertig und läuft wie er soll. Bisher bin ich sehr zufrieden mit dem PC und auch stolz, dass ich ihn selbst zusammengestellt und zusammengebaut habe.
Letztendlich ist folgendes Setup dabei herumgekommen:

Maus und Tastatur hatte ich bereits. Insgesamt war mir beim Zusammenstellen des PCs wichtig, dass ich ein ordentliches Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis habe, deshalb habe ich primär auf AMD gesetzt. Außerdem wollte ich mich zukunftssicher aufstellen, deshalb habe ich mich für ein DDR5-Setup entschieden. Und zu guter Letzt konnte ich nicht verzichten die Komponenten weitestgehend mit RGB-Beleuchtung zu wählen, da ist einfach das Kind in mir herausgekommen. 😄
Ich nutze den PC wenig überraschend für Gaming, aber auch für meine Office Arbeiten, die ich sonst am Laptop gemacht habe. Games die ich aktuell mit dem PC viel spiele sind Fortnite (Ja, auch auf die 30 zugehende Gamer können dieses Spiel mögen) und Helldivers 2 (Ein unfassbar gutes und Spaß machendes Spiel, eine der Überraschungen des Jahres). Aber auch Games wie Age of Empires 2, Civilization 6, Counterstrike 2, Enshrouded und natürlich Splinderlands spiele ich immer wieder.

Bis auf die nach meiner Meinung nach zu kleinen Festplatte, gerade für das Herumspielen, ist das doch eine schnieke Kiste. Schaut richtig Schön aus, trotz der Mäusedisko. :-)

Bei der Festplatte gebe ich dir recht. Da wollte ich mir für die Zukunft noch eine zweite anschaffen, die dann auch etwas mehr Speicher hat, wo dann die ganzen Games und größeren Dateien liegen sollen.
