The Crew: Wild Run is an extension of the open world racing game, The Crew, which was developed by Ivory Tower and distributed by Ubisoft. It was released on November 17, 2015 for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Before that, I told you about the original game, The Crew, which is about free competitions in different places of some cities, specifically in the United States. Due to the good reception of the original video game I decided to make a review of this extension to check if the game really improved the details in which they had some faults, remained the same or had in retrograde with respect to the initial result. For this update I added the motorcycles and a high range of new vehicles, as well as the incorporation of the new multiplayer game mode The Summit, but I will talk about it later in what corresponds to the gameplay. For this extension of the game that I will analyze, I will take into account the essential aspects to determine the quality of a game, at least from my point of view, such as the gameplay (game modes), graphics and sounds, but also taking into account some extra aspects to make the analysis as detailed as possible for the understanding of you, my readers.

Ivory Tower SASU is a French video game development company founded in 2007. It is based in Lyon, and is currently owned by Ubisoft. Its first release was in 2014, The Crew; an open world racing game. The following year, Ubisoft announced the purchase of the entire company.2 At the end of 2018, the company launched The Crew 2, a sequel to its first release.

As I told you before, the gameplay is about racing in the open world, anywhere in a city in the United States of America, where you can use different types of cars and even motorcycles. For this extension, new car specifications were added such as monster trucks, drift cars and dragsters, which tends to enhance the experience and entertainment of the players. The cars for this version of the game are used for pure speed competitions, gear change tests, drift tests where the surface of the asphalt was significantly improved so that the cars would slide better and thus have a better performance on the track, among others. Within the mode that is in this extension we find what is the mode or test of acceleration (dragster), where the player does not have to worry about the brake because as its name suggests is a pure speed competition, we just have to take care of our engine and tires, as they have to overheat. We also found new tracks that are not at all impressive since originally the ones the game had were very good.

We also have what are the monster truck tests, which consists of this within a stadium where we find a series of traps, in order to find signs of scores ranging from 100, 500 and 1,000 points. In addition to making different maneuvers in the air (pirouettes) gives additional points, and whoever accumulates more points is the winner of the competition. I think this is a pretty entertaining way and it's usually a little different from the other tests I've tried in other video games in the racing genre. That's why I think this is the most entertaining mode, because of the crazy and fun things we found in the test.

Finally within the new components that we enter in this update of The Crew is the motorcycles that provide a new style of racing, due to the agility and ease of making the maneuvers. However not everything is good and is that the physics has disappointed quite a lot, a great lack in what is the damage and the variation that this represents in the performance of the bike and therefore the possibility of having a bad competition. Despite what was said about the physics in the photos, I think that with this update the game made an important leap and it is what I asked previously in my analysis of The Crew , where I asked to add more game modes and some than other new cars or models for a better entertainment of the users, that although before was good, now is much better.

As for the graphics, the game had good improvements or at least some that users requested. If before the modeling of the cars was good, then now they are better, much more detailed than the previous version. The visual effects like smoke and sparks are usually really good, but the best thing this time is what is the rain, it looks impressive with visual effects of water drops in the slow of the camera. The rain is not only visual, but due to the improvements in the physics of the games cars, it is that the rain and the wetness of the asphalt is that it affects in the behavior of the car. The scenes also had small improvements, since the previous one was good with very colorful scenarios, with good details and structures that are usually the obstacles we find on the streets, such as walls, buildings, ramps, among other things that players use as objects to take momentum and make the jumps or maneuvers to gain points within the game. Well, the truth is that if The Crew's graphics were already good, now it's really impressive.

The sound is still just as good. Where the best thing is the sound of the engine effects, it's very noisy as we racing lovers like it. The normal sound effects of a race gave a good result, which is what the game's creator wanted, but they're not at all impressive, I think in many other games these effects tend to be heard better. The soundtrack part is very entertaining, with bands like Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party or TV on the Radio, as well as music composers like MOs Def or Nas, and pop princesses like young Lorde. Finally the dubbing to our Spanish language and very good, where Ivory Tower did a good job. Like the previous technical section, the sound is good but I think I could be better. All this as I mentioned in my previous publication about The Crew .

In conclusion, The Crew: Wild Run really brought us new improvements that give us more entertainment in the game. New cars were added for the tests, among them the best is the monster truck due to the craziness that is formed in the races with this type of vehicles. We also added the motorcycles, which despite being an interesting mode because the physics have not disappointed a little and in this case could be better. Graphically the game had advances, some errors that the previous version had were solved, being the most remarkable the effect of the rain, that not only for the visual thing but also it changes us the behavior of the car as it happens in the real life. In this version no new scenarios were added because this part was closed by the creators of the game and to do this it would have to be for a new sequel of the game and not an update, but this is not negative because the circuits or scenarios were already really good. Anyway, in terms of playability I give it a 9 because new modes or categories were added that gave a greater variety in terms of game modes. Not giving the maximum score for the physics, which were improved from the previous version, but not for motorcycles. The graphics would rate it with a 9.5 and the sound 9 since it remained the same.

For all of the above, I give an 9.1 out of 10 to The Crew: Wild Run.
