God Of War Ragnarok
The release date for God Of War Ragnarok is planned for 2022, and Kratos' voice actor has revealed the real reason for the delay. Here's what he had to say regarding the release of Ragnarok.
Sony is already working on a new batch of titles for the PS5, however they have lately stated that they will be delayed. God Of War, Sony's most lucrative franchise, is included, and its release date has been pushed back to 2022. Christopher Judge, Kratos' voice actor, has provided new information on the game's release, and he reveals that the delay is largely due to him. Christopher Judge recently took to Twitter to explain why the game's release needs to be pushed back to 2019.
During Sony's recent PlayStation Showcase, the company revealed the first gameplay of God of War: Ragnarok, which is confirmed to be the final instalment in the series' Norse storey.
The teaser has a lot going on, and fans of 2018's excellent God of War will notice a lot of similarities between it and the impending sequel. For example, Atreus remains trying to find answers after the main disclosure within the previous game, and a slew of recurring characters make an appearance.
Freya is back, still enraged - according to the accompanying blog post, she'll be one of the key adversaries in Ragnarok with Thor - as is the spunky Mimir.
Kratos and Atreus return to the vast length of the Lake of Nines, which is now blasted by snow and gripped by the freezing winds of Fimbulwinter. That means many high-speed sledding around Midgard's newly frosty corners, but those wanting to visit more exotic locales are going to be ready to visit all Nine Realms this point , including the previously inaccessible Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, and Asgard, with the six returning realms featuring new areas to explore.
In the meanwhile, new assault abilities include Atreus' new Runic Summon and the return of Kratos' legendary weapons, both of which can be seen in the video.
In the most recent video for God of War: Ragnarok, a brand new grappling hook was shown off, and although it will be useful in combat, it will also allow the creators to include plenty of new and exciting puzzles for players to complete during their adventure.
