Two years after a secret Harry Potter game's footage surfaced, Sony's PlayStation 5 Showcase officially revealed Hogwarts Legacy. The game is described as an open-world role-playing game set in the Wizarding World, allowing fans to live out their most cherished fantasies while steeped in the world's rich mythology. We got a second peek at Hogwarts Legacy during Sony's PlayStation 5 announcement. When the game was first leaked in 2018, we were the first to see it. It's certainly worth your time to see the original trailer if you haven't already.

Fans of the series will recognise many of the locales in Hogwarts Legacy, but familiar faces will be few and far between. According to the game's official website, "your character is a student who holds the key to an ancient secret that threatens to divide the wizarding world apart." After obtaining a late admission letter for Hogwarts, the player realises that they have the ability to learn and master Ancient Magic. "Only you can decide whether you will protect this knowledge for the good of all, or succumb to the temptation of further wicked magic," the description continues.
While not every skill in this fan-made skill tree is complete, the one we can see allows the user to blend in with their surroundings like a chameleon. In Hogwarts Legacy, I'm hoping for a full skill tree, as it would allow players to form stronger bonds with their characters.
But first and foremost, Hogwarts Legacy will focus strongly on player choice, allowing players to choose whether to use their tremendous skills for the greater benefit of the world or to fall to more wicked and dark desires. According to reports, the game would include a configurable avatar who has uncovered a "ancient secret" that has the potential to destroy the world.
The player will discover that they know a lot more about "Ancient Magic" than most of their peers after being accepted late to Hogwarts. It's tough to predict what will happen in the end, but we could be looking at a large open world with a slew of side quests.
In Hogwarts Legacy, players will be able to learn about many of the fascinating features of the elite school. The world puts the players in the mid-nineteenth century, and their journey could last several years. You will not only meet famous people and visit historic locations, but you will also be taken outside of Hogwarts
