Decidir cuáles son las mejores consolas de la historia es algo muy subjetivo, ya que dependerá de los gustos de cada persona, pero no hay que olvidar que algunas tienen un enorme peso histórico, ya que marcaron generaciones, arrastrando hasta el presente franquicias de videojuegos que se hicieron famosas por estar en un sistema de videojuegos innovador y sorprendente.

La Super Nintendo o también llamada el cerebro de la bestia fue la consola que batalló directamente con la Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, siendo la ganadora de esa generación por múltiples factores, uno de ellos fue su calidad con respecto a los materiales de los cartuchos, controles y consolas, un sonido excelente en sus juegos o gráficos vectoriales y pre-renderizados, pero indiscutiblemente lo mejor de la SNES fueron sus juegos, un catálogo de una suprema calidad que en esa época era muy difícil de vencer.
