Personally, I had a nice weekend spent with my family and now I'm back to writing my articles which are either gaming or travel related, but the one from today's post is going to be the biggest renovation I ever had in House Flipper along with the biggest profit earned but also the most hours spent on a single task.
So do keep in mind that you will get through a lot of pictures with the before & after changes for every single room which are both in the house itself but also in a bunker which will be the main attraction for my clients. 😃
Here's the house I decided to purchase this time which even if it costs quite a fortune, I will try my best to get my profit as close as possible to what I paid for the house so at the end of the day I will be a lot richer than before, lol.
As soon as you take the job, this is what you will see in the first moment, being on the alley to the front of the house that comes with an impressive courtyard and terrace which I'm sure many people dream about.
If not many, then I'm sure I'm one of them because living on a house instead of an apartment is a big dream of mine, as well as having a big courtyard because I want to have lots of animals and they need this kind of freedom. Not to mention about the terrace which is just right during the summer while hanging on a hammock and reading. 😃
I know that maybe not many of you noticed that the house needs renovations on the outside because it does look pretty well maintained, but my watchful eyes noticed some stains that perhaps are created by mold so I thought about getting rid of them fast and then add a different colour for the walls because as good the white was going in this case, I still felt like the renovation was not finished yet.
This is how it looks now. And I think it's a lot better than before! 😁
Anyway, another thing that I love doing is taking care of the courtyard but because I don't have the DLC of the game which allows me to do that, I had to take my thought from renovating the yard on this task. My passion for taking care of houses and yards came when I was very little and I tried out The Sims games which are a treasure in terms of building games.
Anyway, time to move a little bit forward as there is a lot of work waiting for us.
So as soon as I opened the front door of the house, this got me in the living room which was an entire chaos. There were parts of the wall missing, lots of cockroaches nests, stains, dust, empty boxes but also furniture which didn't seem like being able to be used further.
Just as I always do, I began by destroying the cockroaches nests and then sell every piece of furniture, get rid of the trash and leave the cleaning part on the end.
Before painting the walls, I had to plaster them which also made me decide to add both wall paint but also some tiles for the side where the kitchen is placed to bring it a different touch.
However, I do know that this was supposed to be only a living but I like to take advantage of bigger spaces and also add the kitchen there because I find it the most suitable place to do that and the perfect spot where to spend some time with your friends when they are coming over.
🔓 Do you think the same?
There were two more doors that will take you to the other side of the house, namely on the terrace, so you won't see me opening them since I already took care of the outside of the house.
Though a thing that I should renovate is the bathroom which even though only had some stains and the pieces could still be used, I decided to sell everything and add some modern ones but still keep everything in the shades of green which I did like.
In the beginning, this room served as a service bathroom so there was no shower or bathtub, but somehow I managed to take advantage of some sides of the room which seemed a little bit bigger and add a bathtub as well.
The next door opened took me to the first bedroom of the house which was also confronting with lots of damage on the walls. I have no idea what could cause these but luckily I had some spare plaster left from the living room so I fixed everything pretty quickly and started renovating everything as I envisioned.
This one turned out a little bit more girlish with all the makeup things added on the table, but since I only discovered recently the Steam workshop for the game, I ended up adding lots of pieces in the game that I thought they were missing and this was the best moment of using some of them, lol.
If you play House Flipper and didn't know about this, you can check the workshop HERE with a little over 14,000 unique pieces that can be added to the game only by pressing the "Subscribe" button.
Moving a little bit further, I ended up in a 2nd bedroom on this floor which was a little bit bigger than the one renovated before.
Happily, here was no more damage to the walls so I saved some time without being needed to plaster them, and started cleaning everything before I repaint the walls and add a new floor. Since I liked the bed, it's the only one that was not sold but only arranged more nicely. 😃
Anyway, while the previous room was entirely dedicated to a girl with all the makeup and roses everywhere, I decided to keep this one more of a man cave but still with the shades of green that you could see on almost every room from the first floor of the house.
This looks more like a streaming room, but perhaps that was influenced by my desire to start streaming someday, along with all the technology and advanced gadgets you can see here and there. 😊
If you thought that this post is already long with all the rooms renovated so far, do keep in mind that there is the bunker left which is at least as big as what you've seen by now, so considering that I was working on a project that involves clients interested mainly in the bunker, I will have to spend quite a while over here too.
I know that perhaps the picture before wasn't really saying too much so here's a version of the same place after renovation because there was really no light on the stairs that would take you to the underground life.
Perhaps I exaggerated a bit with all the lights but that's because while on the main floor of the house green was the predominant colour, this time we will have red in the spotlights so do expect to see shades of red in all the rooms from now on. 😅
The first room was pretty crowded with lots of shelves and empty boxes which not only they were occupying all the space but they were also blocking the access to the door which was supposed to take us to other rooms as well.
I know that we are talking about a bunker and the selves with supplies should never be missing, but since this is a pretty small room, I thought that I'll sell everything and arrange it as the bedroom for the couple that will live here, but also add some small resting places if they show the surroundings to friends or family members.
As soon as I finished renovating the bedroom, I moved further and that's how I entered the next room which was dedicated for the kitchen.
However, this was no less filled with trash and empty boxes, and it's still a mystery how I managed to open the door with the table being right next to it, lol, but we are talking about a game where everything is possible overall, right? 😂
I don't know if you noticed how poor the light was in the bunker so as soon as I sold the kitchen furniture and cleaned the floor, I grabbed my in-game tablet to purchase some extra lights which were a big must, especially in this room.
Oh, and I did keep a storage shelf this time because here's also the place where I'll add lots of supplies.
Anyway, while I decided to keep the walls the same I found them since they were pretty much covered by all the shelves and storage furniture a kitchen has, I decided to change the floor though which I think it goes along pretty well with the rest of the things you can notice.
I won't spend time saying all the things I added here as there are quite a lot and perhaps you can see them in the pictures, but I focused my attention on the furniture which is pretty recently added to the game with all the LED lights and also on the guns which two of my clients mentioned about.
Just like on the upstairs, the bathroom here wasn't any bigger than the first one renovated, but somehow I still felt the need of paying attention to details and turn this into a beautiful place because you never know how much time you'll be needed to spend in a bunker with all the things currently going on out there...
Happily, the furniture you've seen being used in the kitchen is also available for the bathroom so this matched a lot better than I thought, lol.
And finally, the last room.
You will notice that behind the door there used to be some bunker beds, but since I already added a bed in the first room you get into as soon as you follow the stairs down from the house, this will get a completely different usage.
Some of you might not share the same thoughts with me that this couch sat down perfectly, along with the thing that who really needs a couch in a bunker?
But hey, I always aimed for luxury and comfort in all my renovations and since I think I already added all the things needed for a bunker, I said why not? 😁
Here you can also see a picture of the bunker from the outside as soon as you follow the ladder up from that living room presented before. I like how everything gets hidden in the yard and all the plants from there.
And... perhaps the most exciting and scary moment of every job, is when you have to sell the house and get your profit which is not always the happiest ending.
However, this time my renovation project found a new owner which is Ted Arrown that offered me an impressive amount but which I still dared to negotiate a bit and earn around €2,000 extra.
Just as I shared a little spoiler at the beginning of this post, this is the biggest profit earned so far since I renovate houses, so I really feel like my time spent here was worth it.
🔓 What do you think of the whole renovation overall? What's your favourite place from the house?
