Being new to the game, there's so much things to do and discover everyday. There is definitely no 'right' way to do it, as there are no pressure or time limit in things (except those mini quests) so you can do whatever you want in every season in the game.
I was watching a few videos about tips on Stardew Valley and I learned that there are 4 seasons in the game. So I already had a heads up on what to expect when a season ends...
What I didn't know tho is how long a season lasts lol.

The first season when you start the game will be spring. I was busy doing a lot of foraging and mining that I didn't really mind the farming all that much. I was looking for seeds through foraging since I didn't really know why I wasn't buying seeds in the market haha. I thought you can naturally find them around.
Anyway, as you can see on this screenshot, I was able to craft seeds to plant through the stuff I gathered... If you look at the upper right side, you can see it's the 25th of the month.
Well, I thought the season lasts for 60 days or so. It was just an assumption and I didn't really research it.
I planted these seeds thinking I'll be fine in the next few days haha.
I also bought a few couple of seeds from Pierre's shop and planted them.
I didn't know a season only lasts 28 days.

I 'woke up' in the game and next thing I know, it was already summer... So all of the plants I planted on spring died.
THEY ALL DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I knew how many days one season lasts haha. But... moving on. :D

What's nice about the game though is that each season will have new flora that you can forage. I really enjoy foraging though I wish I run faster. Haha.

My favorite part of summer must this thing called Green Rain. It happens once every summer and what it does is it accelerates the growth of plants and trees during this day. And there are so much of these ferns, grass, and moss you can cut. I love cutting grasses cos they're so satisfying and during this day, it's full of them everywhere.
I was able to collect a lot of moss, ferns, and seeds during this one whole day.

Of course, I took notes and started planting from the first day of the season. :D

I also took the time to mine so I can use those to upgrade my tools.

I don't want to make the same mistake again (cos they're costly lol) so I am making sure that I take note the date and how long the seeds mature. Look at all those fruits I can harvest. :D
Stardew Valley is a unique game with no set expectations. The player is free to do whatever they want which I thought was cool. Sorry to hear about your recently planted crops! I always get stressed when scheduling and timing have to be perfect to reap the rewards so whenever I do play Stardew Valley I'll often stick to the other hobbies/skills as there are no real time constraint to worry about.
Glad your next harvest went well though! Thank you for sharing your adventure.
I think even if you are free to do what you want, knowing some of the rules in the game is just so much better. Although can always try again next time of course, which is what I like. :D Knowing all these can help me do things and to know what to expect moving forward.
Thanks! :D
Congratulations @hiddenblad3!
You raised your level and are now a Minnow!
