Hello gamers! The contest "My First Online Game" has ended and it's time to crown the winners. This is always a rough process and something we like to take our time on. The fact that we had close to 50 awesome entries doesn't make the choices easier. In the end we feel like we've made the right choices.
As with all our contests we're always looking for those personal posts. We want to hear about you and your experiences the most!
The rewards for the contest are made of the post payout of the announcement post. That post paid out at:
59.215 HP
That means that the winners will receive:
1st Place: 12.986 HBD + 20.725 HP + 5 HIVE
2nd Place: 9.276 HBD + 14.804 HP + 3 HIVE
3rd Place: 7.421 + 11.843 + 2 HIVE

You can just tell how much @luizeba loved to play Tibia. This post had a personal touch, a great layout and buildup as well as an immaculate explanation as to what made this game so great and why he loved it. Congratulations!

Who here has fallen asleep in their chair while gaming? Who here has fallen asleep in a cyber cafe while gaming? @suezoe has. Imagine being so absorbed in your first online gaming experience that you just can't stop. This cyber cafe sounds awesome as well. The owner even made rice and food for the guests!
3rd place - @wuildariablox

One of the best things about online gaming isn't playing with strangers. It's playing with friends and family. @wuildariablox tells us the tale of how he got into online gaming alongside his family. This post has that perfect personal touch!
4th place - @bernardinetti
Quake is an all time classic and it was also @bernardinetti's first online game. What a way to start your online gaming adventure. He even went back there to play it and get some screenshots for us. Awesome!
5th place - @burnoutawesome
How was my first experience with online videogames? incredible and eventful all at once
Imagine that feeling @burnoutawesome must have had when he first entered into a Halo 2 multiplayer match. In this post he takes us through the highs and lows of his first online gaming experience. All the way from struggling with the connections to having one hell of a good time!

I tried to speedrun the prize transfers which made me forget to put a memo on them. I also forgot the bonus HIVE reward in the first transfer so those were sent in separate transactions. Congrats once again!

I am EXTREMELY honored in being chosen as the first place in the contest; I'm glad that I was able to pass, for the reader, a bit of my love and nostalgia for Tibia.
As some players say: "once Tibian, always Tibian". And, after almost two decades of playing games, it's incredible how Tibia is still the game that I remember fondly the most.
There are games with better gameplay mechanics? Sure.
There are games with better graphics? Absolutely.
There are games with better storyline and quests? Without any doubt.
But, if someone asked me if I wanted to go back in time and live, again, the whole experience of playing Tibia for the first time and discovering the world once more, I would accept without even thinking twice.
