Taking Flight.

When Basim jumped off the tower into the river at Baghdad, I thought the games logo would appear at that moment but it didn't. So, I thought this game doesn't have such a moment as it was a turning point of Basim and was perfect for the games name. After completing "Taking Flight", I understood why they didn't do it earlier.

So, at the end of "A New Beginning", I was shown that Basim was becoming one among the brotherhood and now at the beginning of this new chapter, I noticed Basim learned the leap of faith well.

I had to go to Al-Hasan's workshop but I found Rebekah on my way and when I decided to speak to her, Basim greeted her with the Islamic greeting that you can see in the subtitle, on the picture above. It looks like Mirage is based on Muslim peoples as I noticed most of the peoples are Muslim.

After a little convo with Rebekah, I ran and found Al-Hasan at his workshop. Al-Hasan asked how Basim was doing in the auspicious day and Basim replied his head was calmer than he believed it'd be so he was feeling strange.

Basim got something from Al-Hasan though I didn't understand what that is.

I had to carry the item and meet Roshan and the others who were waiting for him, as he mentioned. I had to meet Fuladh at the cave entrance and I heard peoples were gossiping about the big day of Basim.

Fuladh said Basim's new robes await and I had to follow him till approaching the altar. Basim changed his outfit in the meantime that looked cool on him. And I found a bunch of peoples there, waiting for something.

Roshan asked Basim if he was ready to leave his life behind and walk the path of shadows and Basim replied in affirmative.

Basim took up a hot knife and I had to command to cut one of his fingers so he can be one of them and can use the hidden blade without any problems. I thought it'd be a test and he'd not have to cut his finger like it was for Ezio but Basim had to make the sacrifice.

The package I carried from Al-Hasan was a hidden blade and after cutting the finger, Basim attached it to his hand and officially became a hidden one.

Then Basim was taken to the training ground where Roshan asked him to fight her as his equal and I tried some special moves there though the fight didn't come to an ending because -

There came Nur and he was injured and weak. Both Basim and Roshan ran to him when Nur fell on the ground. When Basim suggested Nur not to strain and to save his strength, Roshan noticed his horse and understood he travelled unprepared, left Baghdad in a hurry.

After drinking water, or maybe it was medicine, Nur said Ali was gone and that he was taken in the night.

If Ali is gone, the hidden ones are blind. The Order has put a fog over Baghdad and their movements. Fuladh suggested they must go to Baghdad so Rayhan suggested Roshan to leave at once taking Basim and Fuladh with her and they started their journey through the desert.

The cinematic of this part was beautiful having a BGM with lots of affection. The cinematic part showed parts of their journey, their times in the open desert.

They walked their camels on the desert for days and even had to go through the sand storms.

They shared stories, cracked jokes on their break times and there were some beautiful sceneries in this cinematic.

At last they reached Baghdad and now the games name/logo appeared as it was a special moment cause Basim returned to the city where he grew up. I'd say its a perfect timing.

The graphics of this game are of very good quality and it does not seem like they are from a game. It seems like a scene from a movie.
I would also like to see the subsequent parts if you share them. This game will not run on my system because it's very old.😔

The visuals truly blur the line between games and movies, right? I'll make sure to share the upcoming parts for you to enjoy and don't worry, your turn to play these incredible games will come.

It's great that you noticed the cultural and Islamic influences throughout the game. I'm not sure but I guess Ezio is not the only assassin who has all the fingers.

The journey to Baghdad through the desert, looks and sounds breathtaking and the timing of the game's logo is spot on.

Ezio's legacy is iconic, but this game proves there's more to explore in the assassin lineage. I'm glad you enjoyed the journey through Baghdad, it's visually stunning.
