Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Conclave Favorites

in Hive Gaming18 hours ago (edited)

Greetings to all Hivegamers, Splinterlands players and my community in Midnight Letters! The topic for the Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge is about favorite Conclave Arcana cards. I play in the Frontier format and have few Conclave Arcana cards. If I have a favorite it will be Silverleaf Warlock.

I play in Bronze and Silver if I get lucky. My Silverleaf Warlock is just a common card at level one. He has two magic attack, four life and three speed. I play the Death element in most games so he is the Conclave Arcana card I use the most.

For advanced players, Silverleaf Warlock has also value at high levels. If you play in gold or diamond, Silverleaf Warlock increases his life and speed. He will have three skills that gives additional speed to the team, has Backfire skill and blinds the opponent's units. He is of the elf bloodline and can be used with the elf Earth summoner. Silverleaf Warlock is best placed in the rear but he can play in front because he has a lot of life.

Magic attackers are the best among the three attack types. They can attack from anywhere and magic attack cannot be dodged or blocked. In general, ranged cannot attack in front and melee cannot attack from the back but magic attackers can attack from any position.

My games with Silverleaf Warlock were all with Death element because I don't have the elf summoner. I watched games from other players use him with the elf summoner effectively.

My Own Game

I always use Silverleaf Warlock with the Death element and team up with Frontier set cards. My team usually is composed of the Frontier tank Nim Guard Captain and then magic and ranged cards. My team usually includes a healer Arachne Weaver and high attack ranged cards. I'm surprised with my opponent placing a weak unit in front. But when I reviewed the game, I saw that his frontline unit has a Bloodline Tribute skill. It's like Martyr but only benefits the same bloodline. This is a viable strategy if he had a lot of Ulund bloodline in his team but not so much. I'm not that impressed with the Ulund legendary card. It sure has its uses but units with Martyr skill are not legendary cards.

Watch the game between my Death team and the opponent. He had higher level units but my team has better team work and did more damage. I won despite having the lower level units because of better strategy.

Other Players Games

In this game, Silverleaf Warlock is in an Earth element team by player Xidao. He is playing in the gold league with a level eight archon. His Silverleaf Warlock is level nine, almost at full level. His Silverleaf Warlock adds speed to his team. In an all magic game, Xidao's team is led by Thanalorian Scion. She is good in the frontline in this game because of her Void Armor skill that blocks magic attacks. The game also had an Equalizer ruleset, increasing the Thanalorian Scion's one life to equal the highest life of any unit. He also had a legendary card Lord Thanalor in his team. It has three magic attack. His opponent, Dannypanda chose the Water element but has no benefit to magic attackers. Included in his team is Jicarilla the Rime who can heal the tank. He also had the double edged Shock Trooper. He has five magic attack but also shocks his team and damage them every turn.
