It's been a few weeks since I last shared something for #HiveGaming, you could say this is a mini report on Ragnarok Online. This classic game that seems to never age in the hearts of those who play it and lovers of classic MMORPGs like me, especially in that nostalgic and full of charm version, the Pre-Renewal.
Now, let me talk a bit about my new companion on this journey, my Homunculus, Amistr. Out of all the forms of Homunculus available, I chose Amistr for its remarkable ability to withstand damage and for the skill to enhance its own and my defense, with the added benefit of temporarily increasing my vitality. It's fascinating to see how it can carry mobs of enemies to eliminate in the end, sometimes I even get scared thinking it will die, but it has a rapid HP regeneration. That is, it has become almost like a pet, but with powers that no pet can offer in Ragnarok.
(Perhaps the Porings that can "swallow" the items on the ground, but that doesn't compare in abilities)
But make no mistake, although it seems I'm just using the Homunculus in AFK mode, the role of the Alchemist or its evolution Creator in Ragnarok is much more complex and strategic than it seems. Many players might think that, because we don't have as high a physical attack as the Blacksmith Masters, we are at a disadvantage. Oh, how they are mistaken, here comes the beauty of the alchemist class, the Acid Bombs. These little wonders are the quintessence of chemical damage, capable of corroding the target's armor and destroying it, (Well, in Ragnarok we don't have that, it will just unequip the target's armor) and causing absurd damage both to monsters and other players.
And yes, although Amistr and I are having fun and getting a good amount of XP together, I know there will come a time when I will have to evolve without using him for some time.
Unfortunately or fortunately for some, the Homunculus only share a percentage with their creator, this makes it that after a certain level, using it to gain XP becomes quite slow, it's like while you're losing almost 5x times the amount gained by your companion.
The path of the Alchemist is vast and full of possibilities. It may be that I decide to explore other forms of Homunculus, maybe even experiment with the creation of a Lif (support), with its healing abilities, or a Vanilmirth (???), with its impressive magic damage, physical damage, support and almost everything in one. The beauty of Ragnarok Online, especially in the Pre-Renewal version, is this freedom to explore, to experiment, and to grow in ways you couldn't imagine when you started.
Without those strange things that, any class does everything. Run away Archbishops.
I'm collecting some XP in the Ant Hell, it might be the best place to take advantage of in AFK mode, as its respawn consists of waiting for the ants to be born from the eggs. That is, if my Amistr doesn't destroy the eggs before that.

Já faz algumas semanas que não compartilho algo para #HiveGaming, poderia dizer que esse é um pequeno relatório de Ragnarok Online. Esse jogo clássico que parece nunca envelhecer no coração de quem o joga e amantes de MMORPGs clássicos como eu, especialmente naquela versão nostálgica e cheia de charme, a Pre-Renewal.
Agora, deixem-me falar um pouco sobre meu novo companheiro nessa jornada, meu Homunculus, Amistr. De todas as formas de Homunculus disponíveis, escolhi Amistr pela sua notável capacidade de aguentar dano e pela habilidade de melhorar a defesa de si mesmo e minha, com o adicional de aumentar minha vitalidade temporariamente. É fascinante ver como ele consegue carregar multidões de inimigos para eliminar no fim, as vezes até me assusto achando que ele irá morrer, porém ele tem uma rápida regeneração de HP. Isso é, ele tem se tornado quase como um pet, mas com poderes que nenhum pet pode oferecer em Ragnarok.
(Talvez os Porings que podem "engolir" os itens que estão no chão, mas isso não se iguala em habilidades)
Mas não se enganem, embora pareça que estou apenas utilizando o Homunculus de modo AFK, o papel do Alquimista ou sua evolução Criador em Ragnarok é muito mais complexo e estratégico do que parece. Muitos jogadores podem pensar que, por não termos um ataque físico tão alto quanto o dos Mestres Ferreiros, estamos em desvantagem. Ah, como eles se enganam, aqui entra a beleza da classe de alquimists, as Bombas de ácido. Essas pequenas maravilhas são a quintessência do dano químico, capazes de corroer a armadura do alvo e destruir a mesma, (Bom, em Ragnarok não temos isso, ele apenas irá desequipar a armadura do alvo) e causar um dano absurdo tanto em monstros quanto em outros jogadores.
E sim, embora Amistr e eu estejamos nos divertindo e obtendo uma boa quantidade de XP juntos, sei que haverá um momento em que terei de evoluir sem utilizar ele por algum tempo.
Infelizmente ou felizmente para alguns, os Homunculus apenas dividem uma porcentagem com seu criador, isso faz com que após um determinado nível, utilizar ele para obter XP se torna uma coisa bastante demorada, é como enquanto você está perdendo quase 5x vezes a quantidade obtida pelo seu companheiro.
O caminho do Alquimista é vasto e cheio de possibilidades. Pode ser que eu decida explorar outras formas de Homunculus, talvez até mesmo experimentar com a criação de um Lif (suporte), com suas habilidades de cura, ou um Vanilmirth (???), com seu impressionante dano mágico, dano fisíco, suporte e quase tudo em um só. A beleza do Ragnarok Online, especialmente na versão Pre-Renewal, é essa liberdade de explorar, de experimentar e de crescer de maneiras que você nem imaginava quando começou.
Sem aquelas coisas estranhas que, qualquer classe faz tudo. Fujam Arcebispos.
Estou coletando alguma XP no Formigueiro Infernal, ele talvez seja o melhor lugar para se aproveitar de forma AFK, pois seu respawn consiste de esperar as formigas nascerem dos ovos. Isso é, se meu Amistr não destruir os ovos antes disso.

O hey! Pre-Renewal. I guess you didn't like the mobile version and went straight back to the OG ragnarok online.
It's funny when you said you chose amistr rather than amistr choosing you, it's random chance after all. 😆
I didn't like the mobile version very much, it looks like a movie that I have to set up.
About choosing Amistr, I tried more than 10 times losing Embryo to get him LOL. A lot of expenses, and only that Vanilmirth gum was appearing.
