Last Game of Set 15 - Garen Carry!

in Hive Gaming5 days ago

Yes, you heard right—this set will be the last game I share with you in the 15th set. But I wanted to make it worth it with a special video. The Garen carry composition was the one I struggled the most with to record for this set. No matter what I tried, I just couldn't find the right augment. Every time, Kennen carry or Malphite carry would come up, but I finally managed it. Here it is: Garen carry!

You can watch the gameplay video here:

I chose Protagonist as the first augment. This grants a random champion augment and gives you a copy of that champion at the start of each round. So, it lets you get a 4-star champion for your carrier augment without any effort.

Even without items, I knew I needed to find a good power fruit in this game. Trickster is one of the best options. When his health is low, he leaves a target decoy behind and teleports to the farthest champion, gaining a 4% damage increase.

I lost the first two fights but won the next three. This was great because it allowed me to get the item I wanted from the carousel. Now all I need to do is slowly complete my composition.

I chose the Battle Academia Circlet as my second augment. This will help me activate 7 Battle Academia trait early on.

I leveled up to level 7 and activated 7 Battle Academia traits to keep my winning streak going at the end of the mid-game. If you look at how close this fight was, you'll see how right my decision was. A few of my champions seem to be alive, but if Garen dies, my other champions are pretty useless anyway.

I didn't want to choose a risky final augment, but the game suggested such bad augments that I had to take a risk. Call to Chaos gives you a random powerful reward. Luckily, it gave me 3 lucky item chests. When you use this item on a champion, it suggests 4 items suitable for that champion, and you choose one.

Even though I've almost completed my composition, there are still stronger opponents than me lol. If you look at the damage chart, you'll see why no champion other than Garen matters. The champion closest to Garen in damage is Ezreal, and he only dealt 1/9th of the damage. I should find Yuumi and make her my second carry as soon as possible.

I was planning to reach level 9 and then look for a champion, but I should change my plan because I've started losing consecutively. Either I'm playing against very strong opponents, or a 3-star Garen isn't strong enough anymore.

Then I decided to stick to the plan and saved up for level 9. You can see Garen's best three items right now: Titan's Resolve, Spear of Shojin, and Bloodthirster.

If I could have made Yuumi a 2-star, she would have been my second carry, but guess which champion I made a 2-star instead? The correct answer is Seraphine. Even though I don't find her strong, I think she's a good damage-dealing champion when she's 2-star.

Yes, it seems I was right because in this fight, Seraphine dealt more damage than even Garen. Of course, my opponent placing all their champions in the same spot also played a part in this. Seraphine's ability deals damage to a large area. You should position your champions as far apart as possible from her.

Damn! I don't know how I'm still losing to this opponent. A composition with Juggernaut champions in the front lines and Jinx as the carry in the back. I'm really surprised he managed to beat me.

Garen reached 4 stars, and I thought I'd never lose again, but I lost once to a Crystal Gambit composition. I guess I won't be able to finish this game in 1st place because what else can I do, lol?

Luckily, not all my opponents are that strong. This opponent is playing a Mech composition and has activated 7 Mech traits, yet he couldn't beat me because Garen looks too tanky against him. Ashe had melted him somehow.

Unfortunately, I couldn't even beat my Crystal Gambit opponent's bot. I guess finishing second is my fate...

Oh, I forgot something! I activated the 7 Battle Academia traits way too early and played so many rounds with it that the prismatic trait activated. This unlocked my champions' true potential! Now my champions have so much health and are incredibly powerful!

See Garen's health? 14,220! Could this be a world record? If you're wondering how he got so much health, when Garen's Battle Academia feature is active, he gains stacks with every ability use, and these stacks grant him permanent health. With 10 potential, each ability grants 3 stacks, and each stack grants 38 health. With a total of 228 stacks, this grants him a total of 10,944 health. So, just from the stacks he has, he gains 11k health.

Just when I thought I'd lost, the prismatic Battle Academia gave me the victory. This was the final game of the 15th set, and I can say it was well worth it. Thank you for reading. See you in other game posts!

God, the final rounds of TFT are sometimes crazy with how powerful some characters get. Like what Seraphine does in the final round, I see that she kills like three with one ball haha. Just this morning I read someone talking about the next season of TFT and, according to him, it will bring some pretty new and somewhat complex things.

Although I don't play, I like to see how the game evolves from time to time. Maybe with the next big update I'll be encouraged to play a few. I think the last time I played was in 2019 in set 2 haha

Wow, man, you're really one of TFT's OG players. You've played the second set. I've been playing regularly since the first set. There were a few sets I never played, but that was a long time ago.

Watching some games is more enjoyable than playing them 😂
