Retrieving a strange vial to leave the castle, he soon encounters the old woman again, who informs him that Rose is to be sacrificed. This leaves Ethan in a face-to-face confrontation with Moreau's mutation, which, like the other enemies, is defeated. Thus, Ethan retrieves the last flask to place it on an altar and open a secret path to Heisenberg's domain, a factory hiding horrific experiments.
There, Heisenberg speaks with Ethan, trying to persuade him to work together and take down Miranda, but our protagonist refuses and must therefore survive the deadly experiments at Heisenberg's factory until he meets Chris once again, who can finally explain everything.
