That has yet to actually get here because there is just so much story to do in v1.0!
I've been hearing about the daily grind for this game since CBT2. There are a few things to keep in mind and I was also told that random Trust Events would pop up without notice and I can't miss them. So I was getting nervous about what to expect as I was getting done with Chapter 1.
Well I'm guessing miHoYo had been hearing their ravenous players complain about not having enough content in Genshin so they've jam packed this game with it. I am nowhere near finished and I think even the hardcore players who make videos are also not finished despite being something like 5 hours ahead of me! Nobody's on the daily grind yet!
And the story does pick up. I think I've said this enough times but this game has so much personality. No wonder it had the largest debut of any Hoyoverse game so far at a whopping over 50 million downloads off of those 50 million + pre-registrations in just its first 72 hours! It already made 25 million on day 5 of launch dwarfing the current earnings of both Genshin and Star Rail and of course beating all the numbers coming out of Kuro. (And this is in spite of rampant negative media coverage propagating any supposed weaknesses of the game.)
Now just like last time I will say the success is a double-edged sword. The servers can't keep up with 50 million players worth of activity. Even after a week I'm still showing clear signs of lag. It is still far better than what we've seen from Wuthering Waves but still not a good enough experience unless you give up and settle for playing on PC. (good luck lugging that around on your morning commute haha) If Zenless continues to be popular I really hope miHoYo looks into better servers or at least more of them to accommodate all of us. I don't want to have to wait for periods of lower activity to be able to enjoy this game lol
