That black and red motif, the black moon with the Bond of Life icon running through it, those blood red stairs and the same icon covering the normal mirror structure of those ruins, that's such a cool "fireplace." I'd love it if we could set that up in the Serenitea Pot housing feature. I'd totally put my mansion right behind the doorway and make it look like some menacing sky fortress lol
Anyway as for story let me just ask you guys if you think it's possible for someone to let's say be a pure blooded Babylonian, directly descended from Babylonia. That's what we're supposed to believe here. So the Crimson Moon Dynasty of Khaenri'ah was usurped over 500 years ago and as we're even told in this story, afterwards any Crimson Moon loyalists were getting hunted down and assassinated by the secret police. And then 500 years ago something called the Cataclysm takes place and all of Khaenri'ah is destroyed. Never mind the Crimson Moon remnants, not even too many Khaenri'ahns in general survived. Of the few survivors, they were cursed with degenerative immortality so that they'd slowly lose their memories, their minds and then their bodies decay until they pretty much turn into living piles of dirt.
So anyway the idea is that Arlecchino, this thirty year old person from the modern day is somehow directly descended from the Crimson Moon Dynasty. She's an orphan and we have no idea what happened to her parents. As far as we know she is the only surviving member of this ancient dynasty. It begs the question of what had to have happened in the last 500 years for a bloodline that was already all but extinct to somehow pass their genes on for so long without you know, inbreeding lol. Hey that's how the European royals used to do it. (and even then they couldn't really keep a pure bloodline)
Well besides the devs clear lack of knowledge on genetics, Act III wasn't so bad. There was plenty of action, I liked Varka taking charge and being the nerve center of the operation. If there was a little more room to breathe instead of 1 super long op I would have appreciated it. I'm not one for gaming longer than half an hour at a time and I want to draw the limit at a full hour. Over 2 hours is excessive especially for mobile players. Hopefully Act IV won't be as crazy.
