What happened? We learned last time that Rerir was after something else besides revenge. Why is he off on a revenge spree then?
Storytelling consistency aside, the cutscene did look cool. I've noticed that the cutscenes have been looking better and better since Fontaine 2 years ago. The fluid movement and so many moving parts, it kinda makes me want that promised anime miHoYo had promised us once upon a time. Honestly the anime has been delayed for years now because miHoYo hired on some Japanese studio to do it. The shorts that have come out so far have felt subpar though. I would prefer if miHoYo just made the anime in house using the same kind of graphics as these cutscenes. I think that would be such a cool anime especially since there haven't been any successful 3D anime so far. Japan hasn't been able to emote them anywhere close to how well miHoYo has.
Anyway this is part 1. We're heading into the operation to bring down the revenger who wasn't supposed to be out for revenge next.
