Was it worth it?

I've said this back in Natlan's Act IV and then again for Paralogism: the new dev team for Genshin knows how to make a battle sequence. Natlan gave us a believable all-out war situation. Paralogism gave us a believable castle siege situation. Nod-Krai has delivered on this as well with the battle against Rerir being all kinds of epic.

The battle was intense with Rerir relentless in his attacks. The second phase was even more dire as we were limited to only two characters while Rerir's attacks became more powerful. It called back memories of the fight against the Raiden Shogun.

But it was 4+ hours in and I was tired. I don't think I appreciated this one as much as I did Natlan or Paralogism. Those didn't last this long and there were breaks in between. I was able to go through the actual combat sequence of both on their own and rest right afterwards so I looked back on them fondly. For Nod-Krai though, I had already sat through Rerir's life story then suddenly Nefer's life story for no reason, some prep work for the upcoming battle and then the battle itself was something like 20 minutes long and was then followed by a Lord of the Rings Return of the King length ending.

There is still more of this story to go. My guess is that Dottore will be the actual enemy we'll face in the end and we'll still need to set up the new moon sister trio as well, that being Columbina as the Frost Moon, Arlecchino as the Iridescent Moon and Nicole Reeyn as the Eternal Moon. I really hope it won't be like this. It is fine to have a 4 hour long story but just let it be broken up into 4 or 5 chunks that we can play separately.
