Last update we had the new character Lauma. She was a Dendro character who could supply plenty of Dendro elemental hits which apply the element so you can do special reaction attacks with it like Bloom with a Hydro character.
Nefer doesn't quite have the same ease of use. On top of that to really take advantage of her power you need other regional characters which right now consists of an Electro character she can't make use of, a Hydro character that hardly puts out enough Hydro to be useful and finally Lauma herself. Therefore many teams so far seem to have Nefer together with Lauma and Lauma doesn't actually need Nefer. Therefore Lauma is really the important ingredient here and she can be teamed up with say Furina and Yae for even greater damage potential than anything Nefer can do.
Honestly for those who like having some active Dendro character like Alhaitham or Kinich, maybe Nefer's playstyle feels nicer than Lauma who just sets up and then switches out. But that's really all I can say about Nefer. Thankfully the next version should see the release of Durin and Jahoda and that should be interesting.

I got Lauma at C1 and love her. I want to pull for Nefer but don't have the primos. We'll see next time she comes around.
