Slowly coming together
I've been slowly sorting out my computer room attempting to turn it into a really nice place to game, stream and general chill.
The most recent addition is the drinks fridge in the corner which turns out to be a really good drinks fridge because 2L bottles of pop actually fit in it very well!
The tv unit is my 'retro' gaming station, though it still needs some setup. I currently have my old PS2 slim hooked up, I need to set up the XBox360 and PS3,I also have a gamecube, Wii to find space for as well. I would like to wall mount the TV by I would prefer to have a newer TV to do that, this old one weighs 20kgs and these walls are just plaster board on batons.
My ridiculous PC makes an appearance again, A modded thermaltake tower 900 snow edition, designed to really showcase the motherboard and GPU. It sits upon my homemade computer desk, which is pretty much a kitchen worktop slapped onto a beefy base made out of furniture board.
Got all my various peripherals strung across my desk that I use for Streaming, and my G27 wheel and HOTOS flight stick under the desk.
The cable across the floor actually leads up to my valve index VR headset that I have to find a new place to store since I put then PS3 where I was once storing the Index.
It's coming together nicely... and yes... in this picture behind me is an absolute disaster of mess that I need to figure out haha. I've got a 10 meter long aircon duct pipe rolled up that I need to decide what I'm going to do with since this room gets very hot I need to have my mobile aircon working in some sense, It's just deciding where to vent the exhaust.
Hopefully I'll be able to get the retro stuff sorted out so I can start streaming games from them as well. I have a small USB capture device that'll work perfectly for it.
But anyways, With the room looking tidier I'm going to treat myself to a cold pear cider from my newly acquired drinks fridge.

I have my own tech space, but it's not used much for gaming. It's more for making music. I can think back to the 80s when I had my first computer and dreamed of having some fancy tech.
Have fun there.

Although it's not visible I do in fact have a very old Casio CTK-611 keyboard next to my chair, It's set up as a midi device so I can use it to faffle around with magix music maker and what not.
Though I haven't really done much with it since setting up all my programs and such, struggling with inspiration and finding the right sound.
I have a Casio keyboard too, but no room to set it up. I just had to clear the corner where I store that and some amplifiers. I may sell one of those as I don't use them much.
Looks like your setup is coming together perfectly! I Love the mixture of modern gear and retro. Eagerly waiting to see the streaming setup fully done.
Give it a couple of years and it'll all be 'retro' xD Given how quickly tech becomes old these days.
I'm hoping to get a SNES and MegaDrive at some point if it's not insanely expensive to do so, otherwise I might just go the emulation route.
Totally! Emulation’s a solid backup if prices get crazy. Haha 😁
