Hello to all the Hive Gaming community, I hope you are great, today I want to talk about another of the games that I already mentioned (and I mentioned several times haha) in the Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, and I will not deny that despite being a fairly short game literally has taken many hours of my life, being the screenshots that I will upload to this post taken today while trying to overcome my retro speed run passing the game, so I hope this Metal Slug X has been both for you how for me such an epic game.

This game could be considered as a remastering of Metal Slug 2, as it has some modifications both in the scenarios (either by the time of day in which they occur), an increase in difficulty and in the amount of enemies we find in each level plus some new weapons (such as the Stone that replace the normal bombs and the Enemy Chaser which are small rockets that hunt our enemies).

This game follows the same story of Metal Slug 2, being the battle against General Morden who has created a new exercise to create a new world order, also has allied with a race of aliens, which in the end end up betraying and kidnapping to experiment with it, our protagonists have to face in the first missions to members of the new army of the general and from the 4 mission also to these invaders who first pass as allies of Morden but to reach the final boss we will see how they betray and try to dominate the planet for them.

As I mentioned before, this game is quite short, with only 6 levels, each of them having a particular boss (being for me one of the most annoying ones the level 2 and level 3 because of how complicated it is to dodge their attacks), also in some levels we will have different enemies as in level 5 we will have the mutants (which depending on their damage change color and explode) and the aliens from level 4 and level 6 (which in this level become a quite complicated enemy when they are not in their ship).

This game was released for a large number of consoles being the first that had it was the Neo-Geo Arcade machine in 1999, to then be released in 2001 for the PlayStation 1, it was also released in the Metal Slug anthology for the Playstation 2, the Nintendo Wii and the PlayStation portable in 2012 and for iOS and Android operating systems in 2013, this is one of the games as you can see best selling of the saga and that most consoles has come to have.

To add more to this great (but unfortunately short) game would be or comment many spoilers or say things that for many are more than known, but that does not take away that it is one of the most entertaining games I've gotten to play, plus in my speed run today I managed to reduce my time to 1 hour and 25 minutes, I hope soon to play it again and to reduce the time to at least 1 hour, I hope many of the community have enjoyed this game and if you did leave me your opinion in the comments, I hope you are great and see you another time.

Hola a toda la comunidad de Hive Gaming, espero se encuentren genial, hoy quiero hablarles de otro de los juegos que ya mencioné (y mencioné varias veces jaja) en el Retro Gaming Blogging Challenge, y es que no voy a negar que a pesar de ser un juego bastante corto literal se ha llevado muchas horas de mi vida, siendo los screenshots que subiré a este post tomados hoy mientras trataba de superar mi retro de speed run pasando el juego, así que espero que esté Metal Slug X haya sido tanto para ustedes cómo para mí un juego tan épico.

Este juego es podría considerar como un remasterización de Metal Slug 2, ya que cuenta con algunas modificaciones tanto en los escenarios (sea por la hora del día en la que ocurren), un aumento en la dificultad y en la cantidad de enemigos que encontramos en cada nivel además de algunas armas nuevas (como las Stone que reemplazan a las bombas normales y el Enemy Chaser el cual son pequeños cohetes que cazan a nuestros enemigos).

Este juego sigue la misma historia de Metal Slug 2, siendo está la batalla contra el general Morden quien ha creado un nuevo ejercicio para crear un nuevo orden mundial, además se ha aliado con una raza de extraterrestres, los cuales al final lo terminan traicionando y secuestrando para experimentar con el, nuestros protagonistas tengan de enfrentarse en las primeras misiones a los miembros del nuevo ejército del general y a partir de la 4 misión también a estos invasores que primero pasarán como aliados de Morden pero al llegar al jefe final veremos cómo lo traicionan e intentar dominar para ellos el planeta.

Cómo les comenté anteriormente este juego es bastante corto, contando solamente con 6 niveles teniendo cada uno de estos un jefe particular (siendo para mí uno de los molestos el del nivel 2 y el del nivel 3 debido a lo complicado que es esquivar sus ataques), además en algunos niveles tendremos enemigos diferentes como en el nivel 5 tendremos a los mutantes (los cuales dependiendo de su daño cambian de color y explotan) y a los aliens a partir del nivel 4 y nivel 6 (los cuales en este nivel llegan a ser un enemigo bastante complicado cuando no están en su nave).

Este juego fue lanzado para una gran cantidad de consolas siendo la primera que lo tuvo fue la máquina de Arcade Neo-Geo en 1999, para luego ser lanzado en el 2001 para el PlayStation 1, también fue lanzado en la antología de Metal Slug para el Playstation 2, el Nintendo Wii y el PlayStation portátil en 2012 y para los sistemas operativos iOS y Android en el 2013, este es uno de los juegos como se puede ver más vendido de la saga y que mayor cantidad de consolas ha llegado a tener.

Agregar más a este genial (aunque lamentablemente corto) juego sería o comentar muchos spoilers o decir cosas que para muchos son más que conocidas, pero eso no quita que es uno de los juegos más entretenidos que he llegado a jugar, además que en mi speed run de hoy logré reducir mi tiempo a 1 hora y 25 minutos, espero dentro de poco volverlo a jugar y poder reducir el tiempo a al menos 1 hora, espero que muchos de la comunidad hayan disfrutado este juego y si lo hicieron déjenme su opinión en los comentarios, espero que se encuentren genial y nos veremos en otra oportunidad.
