HoloZing is a Web3-enabled monster-catching, training, and battling game. It draws strong inspiration from classics like Pokémon and World of Warcraft.
Holozing was supposed to launch in 2024, and it's nearly 2026, so to say the game has been delayed would be an understatement. It's been put on layaway, like GTA. I must have been rude when asking when this game is finally going to launch because it seems like I've been blocked by the Discord server, but I didn't take it personally because lots of people must have been wondering and asking the same. I would really like to know what's going on, so if anyone reading this runs the Discord server, please let me back in. I'm not a hater or troll. I promise I won't be talking shit.
Open your Holozing Alpha Vials!
The game still hasn't launched, but at least we can finally open our Alpha Vials. I would've liked to buy another vial to hold on to as the alphas may be valuable one day, but twenty bucks in liquid crypto is hard for me to come up with these days, especially when I'm trying to MAX all of my Splinterlands Frontier cards and to be honest I'm not all that confident that the game will ever launch and if it does that it will be worth playing. Nothing against the Holozing team, they look like Hive OGs and legit, but every game besides Splinterlands on Hive has turned out to be a turd.
Did you pick up a vial yet? Your first one is discounted, so it's not that expensive, but it jumps up to twenty bucks on your second purchase. Maybe the game development drags on forever, and I'll get a chance to get another vial or two once I get my cash and crypto life connected, but this one vial will probably be it for me. Let's take a look at what I got...
What was inside my Alpha Vial?
I got the fire creature called 🔥Infurno🔥. Did I get lucky or just pull an average card? I don't know if it will be a good card compared to the other three, but I think it certainly looks the coolest, or hottest. Will I need to get the other three creatures to play the game, or can I get by with just him? Can I upgrade this card later? I don't think it will be like Splinterlands, where you combine cards to make them stronger.
How about the other three creatures, Walle, Wrackoo, and Zappit? Did you get any or all of them? I'll probably just wait until there is a market, and I'll pick these guys up on the cheap when that's an option. Maybe there won't be any need to have all four creatures, but I'd still like to have them all out of a collector's mentality.
I have no idea what these consumables will do, but I do know I'll be afraid to use them in the game, so I'll probably look for common items to use first, in case these are hard to find or expensive. What about you? Did you get the same kind of stuff as I did?
I'm guessing the gun or the capture device is going to be one of the most important items in the game, so I'm disappointed I only drew an uncommon one. Did anybody get a legendary gun?
I don't understand what these empty cards are. Do I need these to capture creatures like a Poké Ball? Can I only capture one creature per card, or is it infinite? Hopefully, we get to find out before GTA 6 comes out.
It looks like Holozing took the Splinterlands approach to rarities with common, rare, epic, and legendary, but I saw that I have an empty diamond card, so is diamond higher than legendary, or the same thing? Well, thanks for reading about my vial opening today. How was your luck opening them?
