How's it going fellow Hive gamers? If you've ever read any of my posts before you know I'm a die-hard Splinterlands fan. I love Splinterlands, but it's really the only game I've played for years (besides trying all of the failed games on Hive.)
I've been living in Laos. Actually, I got stuck there during the pandemic, but I loved it. I felt like I had the whole town to myself, but one thing I had zero access too was modern technology like the PlayStation 5. Well, that all changed recently because I'm back in the states, and I used my Military Star Card to buy a PlayStation 5 for less than $300 so I'm really happy. (There's no tax on base, the console was on sale, and the exchange gave me $35 first time buyer discount. If you or a family member is a vet and you need a console getting from the exchange is the best option.)
The best part about the new Play Station is how easily it shares your videos to YouTube and Twitch. I remember trying to do this on the PS4 and having trouble every time not to mention the low video quality and zero editing options, well the PS5 makes it so a kid could just push button, splice, add some stuff to their vidd, and poof... it's up.
I've never been a fan of physical discs. I don't believe my Play Station 4 ever read a disc its entire life. Maybe some people prefer physical discs as you can sell them later, but I'm super picky on what games I actually spend my money on. I'll research them first. Look at videos first. So I was pleased to see all of my old PS4 games I purchased were still in my library and playable on my new console. The Play Station Slim I bought came with a voucher for a free copy of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 so I of course had to give this game a go and as you can see from the opening game-play this game is smooth. It really makes you feel like you are Spidey swinging trough the streets on New York. The storage of the PlayStation I got only has about 800 GB of space so I've had to delete some games to make room for new ones, but I won't be touching this game until I clear it because it's too much fun.
Sorry I'm not better at using Hive based video platforms like dTube or 3Speak, but they are hard to use and I have no idea how I'd get the videos from my console to their page without a nice PC (which I don't have) so I'll probably just be using YouTube like this to share videos because the videos are so nice looking and embed so easily.
Here's a game I tried once and decided to delete because it was eating up about 35GB and I needed room for the Star Wars game I just bought, but It's a good example of videos I think I'd like to make in the future: Opening Game-play of new games.
As a content creator this is great because you are bringing video of new games that many people would not be able to see as they may lack the games or consoles and it's super easy to do. You just try out new games, post about it, you don't have to edit, commentary, or think too much about it just share your experience...
I'm a lifelong teacher and gamer that's why I started Conversation Gaming back in 2015. I'd bring my PS4 to my adult English school, it's called Wall Street, then we'd commit crimes in GTA V and learn real conversational English. The students loved it. I had fun too. Well now that I've got a PS5 and my videos are getting thousands of views on YouTube, I'll be able to find students on my own and not need some bureaucracy or passive aggressive management.
Well thanks for checking out my recent game-play. I'll still be playing Splinterlands, but I'm super stoked that I'll be able to share more AAA gaming experiences from now on too. Have a good one guys!
Games that look promising. Let's hope they live up to the hype.
It's okay but it's going to be nothing compared to when GTA 6 comes out.
Arknights: Endfield is a really nice gatcha game!
Yeah it looked nice, but I'd rather play Spider-Man. In fact, I've been playing Spider-Man all day! It's one of the best games I've ever played. I think it might be a good game for on the phone or tablet though.
