Most of the appeal is in the story, characters, and insane replayability. There are thousands of different endings possible depending on hundreds of different choices you make throughout the game. SO many secrets, hidden things, and chances to do things differently. Larian made a game they were truly passionate about, and it shows as you play! :)

Yeah, that too I've heard that the decisions players make in the story is really important and makes it feel that way, it's a very interesting game plus it's a turn based game from what I understand.
