Arise: a Simple Story
Game Story:
The first screen of the game starts with a funeral, although the funeral has a feeling of sadness and depression - here is a feeling of good ending.
We play a deceased man (probably it's heaven because we see a mountain with lots of lights) and he starts walking towards the mountain.
The game focuses on the same person who was a young boy (in his past) - the game well describes his love life and all the new things that come into his life.
Each episode in the game tells us a different time of man and everything without words (it's a little weird that there are no words, but apparently that's the point of the game) - his movements and reactions tell us how he feels.
Progress of the game:
Like I said, we control the man with basic movements, like jumping, walking, running and more - until we reach the end of the stage.
In this game, there are no shots, no enemies, and no danger to human life (just don't jump a mountain right?)
You can control the time with a click, the game is puzzle-based and we should solve them.
Game Graphics:
The game Arise: a Simple Story brings us very simple graphics of paintings, without many colors without unnecessary scenes and without blasts and shots (like any game today).
That's what's nice about him, his simplicity.
Every detail in the game seems to have been well designed to give us the experience that the boy is in "Paradise" (without any violence).
The game is a nature game that includes animals, plants, water - what you can find in nature.
Every movement of the main character in the game is well felt.
Game Sound/Music:
The music in the game is calm and peaceful, there is nothing rhythmic or bomber during the game - as I said as in Paradise.
In terms of words, the game does not contain words or speech, it only contains sounds - the human being can express joy, sadness, emotion with the help of sounds.
We also hear the water flow in the game, the sounds of bugs, flies and more.
Conclusion:
Arise: a Simple Story, is a small game about one person, without shooting and all things crime.
The game is calm and quiet, slow.
The game has a good story, and nice graphics (including emphasis in the small details).
